Chinese New Year culture spans thousands of years, and we can still understand the New Year rituals of the ancients of the past dynasties, and the carrying records of classics have an indelible contribution. Chinese classics are vast, profound, diverse in form and rich in content, and are an important carrier of the inheritance of Chinese civilization and a historical witness of the Chinese cultural context for thousands of years. From the canonical history of the vertical world, to the rabbit garden booklets of the township school slang, from the masterpieces of the hundred schools of thought, to the literary masterpieces of Huazhang, all of them contain information on ancient Chinese politics, economy, philosophy, science and technology, art and other aspects, and also preserve the rich and precious cultural memory of the Chinese nation.

This exhibition is a special plan of the 7th "Year of Chinese Traditional Culture" series of activities of Shenzhen Library, co-organized with the National Library and the National Museum of Classics, selecting 26 kinds of rare books from the collection of the National Library of China, as a microcosm of Chinese classics, with the Chinese traditional "subset of classics and history" as the outline, introducing and displaying rare books, and searching for historical stories and rituals and folk customs related to the customs of the year in the classics.

In ancient times, Su Zimei's "Book of Han" was drunk, and Sui Chutang read books as meat. On the occasion of the Spring Festival, we offer a cultural feast for public readers, hoping to spend the Spring Festival in the strong aroma of books, carry forward and inherit excellent traditional culture, and protect the Chinese cultural context.

It is understood that in addition to this exhibition, Shenzhen Library has also prepared the second session of "Welcoming the New Year, Reading Together in the City" for the public (the activity will last until February 15, through the New Year recitation meeting, the release of thematic book list, online cloud reading, new media platform topic interaction and other forms, inviting citizens to participate in the city's cloud reading), "Online Books, 'Zhen' Love Blessing: 'Three Elements of Family Books' Online Collection", "Welcoming the New Year, Catching the New Year Beast" Online Answering Questions and Other Nearly 20 Activities, Enriching the Spiritual and Cultural Life of citizens and Giving Play to the Library" Nourish the national soul and cultivate cultural self-confidence".
