Shanghai Hongkou District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau confirmed yesterday (30th) that in response to the shanghai Bund W hotel published a "fusion colonial style" advertisement on the Internet, the bureau issued an administrative penalty decision against Shanghai Daluo Hotel Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Daluo Company) on the 14th of this month.

According to the decision, Dalo Company is the main operator of W Hotel on the Bund, Shanghai, in order to promote the room accommodation business of W Hotel on the Bund, the company designed and produced its own advertising content such as "integrating colonial style and futurism, 374 rooms and suites that highlight extraordinary dynamics, present Shanghai style, and interpret Shanghai culture", contacted Zhejiang Fliggy Network Technology Co., Ltd. through the hotel operation management, and released it in the "Fliggy Travel" APP after the company's page typesetting began on July 9, 2018.

The above advertising content continued until July 4, 2021, and was withdrawn by Zhejiang Fliggy Network Technology Co., Ltd. after being reported, and Dalo was informed. The above-mentioned behavior of Dalo Company violates the provisions of the Advertising Law that "advertising shall not obstruct social public order or violate good social customs".

The decision also shows that the Shanghai Hongkou District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau decided to punish Daluo Company as follows: first, stop publishing advertisements containing the above illegal content; second, fine 200,000 yuan.

W Hotels is a brand of Starwood Hotels Group, and in 2016, with the completion of Marriott International's acquisition of Starwood Group, W Hotels was incorporated into the Marriott International Group hotel brand system.
