The Tesla Model 3 announced a recall at the end of December 2021, recalling some of the domestically produced Model 3 electric vehicles with production dates from October 14, 2019 to December 27, 2020, and some imported Model 3 electric vehicles with production dates from October 4, 2018 to November 20, 2019.
Official information shows that the trunk cover of the vehicle within the scope of this recall may cause excessive wear of the trunk wiring harness after a long period of repeated opening and closing. If this wear causes the core separation of the coaxial cable, it may cause the reversing image to not work properly, thus affecting the driver's field of vision when reversing, and in extreme cases, it will increase the risk of collision when reversing, and there is a safety hazard.
At present, a number of owners have received Tesla's recall notification SMS, but because the number of models involved in the recall involves a total of 180,000 Model 3 models, the official did not give a specific recall time, so that the affected owners wait for the service personnel to take the initiative to contact, make an appointment for inspection and repair.
