With Tesla's entry into China, it can be said that it has completely driven China's new energy vehicle market, and at the same time, it has also made the parts suppliers of new energy vehicles feel like ushering in spring. Because in addition to Tesla, BYD, Weilai, Xiaopeng, Ideal and many other car manufacturers have launched their own new energy vehicles. However, for Musk, the big boss behind Tesla, even if he now has a super factory in Shanghai and Fremont, California, it seems that he is not satisfied.

You know, Tesla now owns two gigafactories in Austin, Texas, and Berlin, Germany. It's just that these two super factories have not yet been fully put into operation, and they are still in the stage of small-scale production, and Musk's ultimate goal must be to make the two factories mass-produced. Only in this way can we guarantee that in 2030, we will honor the bold words that we once promised to sell 20 million vehicles a year. You know, in 2021, Tesla Gigafactory delivered a total of 930,000 cars, but this seems to be a big gap for Tesla to achieve its goal of 20 million vehicles by 2030. As a result, Musk threatened to announce the location of the next gigafactory at the end of the year. That is to say, in the face of the current production capacity of many super factories, Musk is not satisfied, which is enough to see that this person's ambition is indeed not small, and it can even be said that the appetite is really big. Delivering 930,000 vehicles a year is still not satisfied, and it is still necessary to build a super factory, and it can also be seen that Musk has indeed made a lot of money in recent years.
So which region will be the site for Tesla's next gigafactory? Will it still be in China? If Tesla wants to become bigger and stronger in China, relying only on the Shanghai Gigafactory, it is obviously not enough. Because although Shanghai is a port city, the radiation range is limited. Therefore, the outside world believes that Tesla's next gigafactory is likely to choose China. And it is not the interior, or it will be mainly coastal cities, or port cities. Because for Tesla, the gigafactory in China not only needs to meet the needs of the local market, but also needs to be exported. Therefore, building in port cities or coastal cities is a necessary condition for Tesla. Looking at China's coastal cities, there are Dalian, Tianjin and Qingdao in the north, and Hangzhou, Jiangsu, Fujian, Hangzhou and so on in the south. Dalian is likely to miss Tesla, because the winter in the northeast can be called the "killer" of new energy vehicles, so the possibility of choosing Dalian is very small.
More importantly, the location area of Tesla's gigafactory also needs to have a strong car atmosphere, so as to facilitate Tesla's integration into it. Therefore, Tianjin and Qingdao, as well as southern cities, still have great hope, of course, in addition to domestic, many foreign countries also have certain qualifications. In addition to Germany, there are also the United Kingdom, Italy and Australia. Therefore, it is not yet known which country Musk will eventually choose to build the next gigafactory.
After all, Musk, as a businessman, must consider from many aspects, in which country to build a super factory, in addition to saving costs, but also to ensure annual output? These are all questions musk should consider. Therefore, it is very likely that Musk is also very troubled because of the next gigafactory. After all, the construction of the factory is not only an investment, but also needs to ensure that the cost can be quickly returned in the future, and it is also necessary to ensure that normal production can be achieved.
