In terms of appearance, the new car as a whole continues the design style of the current model, and in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of BMW's M division, the new car will be equipped with the M sports kit as standard. Specifically, the headlight shape of the new car is still sharp, the outline of the "double kidney" intake grille is also extremely angular, and the vertical trim inside the grille of the new model has been adjusted to make it more three-dimensional. At the same time, the decorative plate style on both sides of the three-stage intake opening of the new car was also adjusted from honeycomb to horizontal trim, and the embellishment of chrome trim was added. At the same time, the grille of the new car also adopts a luminous design, and the overall sense of refinement has been significantly improved.
The new car will add a total of 5 new body colors of skyscraper metallic gray, San Remo metallic green, Portimão metallic blue, frozen pure grey and frozen Tanzanite blue, as well as two new wheel rims. And the M850i xDrive Coupe model will also provide "M Sport Package Professional" optional package, which includes a grille, mirrors, brake calipers and other blackening kits, as well as exclusive large-size blackened rims, the BMW LOGO of the whole car is also replaced by the 2022 exclusive special edition style. In addition, BMW will release a limited edition M850i xDrive Coupe model on February 17, which is a collector's model created by BMW in collaboration with artist Jeff Koons.
In terms of interior, the new car also basically continues the design style of the current model, but the suspension central control screen is adjusted from the current 10.25 inches to 12.3 inches, and the sense of science and technology in the car has been improved to a certain extent. At the same time, the M850i xDrive Coupe model with the optional M Sport kit will also have an M sports steering wheel and sports seats, and the sports atmosphere in the car will be more intense.
In terms of power, the new car will continue to be available in three power models, the 840d, 840i and M850i, of which the 840d is equipped with a 3.0T inline six-cylinder diesel engine with a maximum power of 340 horsepower and a 48V light hybrid system. The 840i model is equipped with the familiar 3.0T in-line six-cylinder turbocharged engine, which has a maximum power of 333 horsepower, and the two-door model is available in two drive forms, rear drive and four-wheel drive, while the four-door version is equipped with a four-wheel drive system as standard. In terms of the M850i model, it is equipped with a 4.4T turbocharged V8 engine with a maximum power of 530 horsepower and a four-wheel drive system as standard.
