There is little change in appearance, with U-shaped air intakes under the front bumper that echo the shape of the central mesh, and the ambient lights in the central mesh are automatically lit when the vehicle unlocks or opens the doors. Of course, the driver can choose to turn off the function manually. In addition, the new car has added five body colors (including skyscraper metallic gray, San Remo metallic green, Portimao metallic blue, BMW custom Tanzanite metallic blue and glacier pure grey) and two new styles of rims for consumers to choose from. The most significant change in the interior came from the central control screen, which was upgraded from the current 10.25 inches to 12.3 inches.

In addition, BMW offers owners of the M850i xDrive a new optional package called M Sport Package Professional, which includes a blackened double kidney net, brake calipers, spoilers and headlights.

On February 17, BMW will also launch the 8 X Jeff Koons limited edition model, a special 850i xDrive Gran Coupe that will exclusively enjoy the artist's 11-color body color scheme and top-of-the-line interior leather materials. In addition, as the prestigious BMW royal modification brand, the ALPINA B8 model will also be based on the new car in the future.
