In the spring of 1972, in Linyi YinqueShan, construction workers were building an office building, and when they cleaned the stone pit, they suddenly found a tomb. However, these construction workers did not care much, because it was not a surprise that they found tombs in YinqueShan, where graves left by various dynasties and generations were already accustomed.
When an old local private school gentleman saw the grave, he reported it to the prefectural cultural bureau out of caution. The county cultural bureau sent two archaeologists to Yinque Mountain to conduct field research and found that it was a Han tomb, so the excavation work was soon launched.
After opening the coffin, it was found that it was oozing with water. There was no way, the archaeologists had to grope and salvage. A large number of pottery was stacked in the tomb, and due to its age, many artifacts were relatively weak and entangled with each other, which undoubtedly added difficulty to the excavation personnel's cleaning work, so many artifacts were damaged to varying degrees. Among these damaged artifacts, some were regarded as messy grasses, which were later recognized as a miracle of archaeological discovery. The first thing excavators found in the sludge was copper coins, which were the "half two" copper coins of the Wenjing period. This finding is significant because it provides strong evidence for the dating of the base.
Most archaeologists have a big habit, that is, "see the money eyes open", teaching and research personnel also attach great importance to the discovery of "half two" copper coins, so they immediately continue to search to see if there is still such copper coins.
At this moment, a piece of bamboo floated from the water, about three inches long, and the salvage personnel picked it up. However, this piece of bamboo did not attract the attention of the archaeologists, who treated it as a mess of grass, so they casually threw this piece of bamboo like a grass leaf in a pile of utensils that had just been excavated.
If it were not for the coincidence of later chance, these "grass leaves" would probably not have seen the sky.
In order to protect some cultural relics that are in danger, in the late 1970s, the central government issued a directive requiring all provinces and cities to conduct a large-scale cultural relics survey. After receiving the instructions, the Shandong Provincial Museum did not dare to take a break, and immediately divided the staff of the cultural relics group into several groups and went to the cities and counties in the province to carry out a census of cultural relics.
One of the groups happened to be passing by the release site of the Yinqueshan Han Tomb, and an archaeologist suddenly found some "random grass" mixed in the pile of utensils, which he carefully wiped with a damp cloth. When I wiped it clean, something surprising happened: black handwriting appeared on it! Everyone gathered around, ecstatic, because they recognized the words on it: Qi Henggong asked the pipe...
When the news came out, people gathered around from all directions, scrambling to see the bamboo stick with the words. Archaeologists think that bamboo jane can not have such a piece, there should be more, so remind everyone to look around!
Their search was fruitful, and a total of 4942 bamboo tablets were found in the Han tomb, which was later named Yinqueshan No. 1, providing relatively complete information for later research.
What exactly is recorded on the bamboo jane excavated from the Yinqueshan Han Tomb? The local cultural relics department did not dare to have the slightest hesitation, and immediately sent someone to Beijing with samples to find experts for identification.
The results of the expert appraisal were astonishing: of the nearly 5,000 bamboo tablets, all of them were ancient books. Among them, there are many famous works such as "Sun Tzu's Art of War", "Sun Zhen's Art of War", "LiuTao's "Wei Miaozi", and "Thirteen Articles on Abiding by the Law and Abiding by Orders". Some of them are books that have been lost as early as the Han Dynasty, which can be described as significant. Among them, the most important are the "Art of War of Sun Tzu" and "The Art of War of Sun Bing", the two major art of war of the Sun family. Sun Tzu's Art of War has had a major impact at home and abroad. The thousand-year-old Lost Art of War on the Silver Sparrow fully proves the existence of Sun Bing and his art of war. In addition, many of the contents of the "Art of War of Sun Zi" have a relationship with the "Art of War of Sun Tzu", which has a very positive significance for the study of the Chinese art of war.
The excavation of the Yinqueshan Han Tomb Zhujian soon caused a huge sensation in the world and was listed as one of the "Top Ten Archaeologists in The 30 Years of New China".
