Wang Yijun, born in 1978 in Xuancheng, Anhui Province, graduated from the China Academy of Art in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in calligraphy and seal engraving, and entered the Chuanyin Academy of Fine Arts in the same year to teach. In 2016, he graduated from the China Academy of Art with a doctorate degree in art history. He is currently an associate professor of the Department of Chinese Painting at the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts and a director of the Sichuan Calligraphers Association.
Mr. Wang Yijun is a representative figure of contemporary young and middle-aged calligraphers, and is the leader of young and middle-aged calligraphers in today's Thesis school of calligraphy. Mr. Wang Yijun was originally a secondary school student majoring in aquatic products, which is far away from calligraphy, from a secondary school student to the "Seven Sons of Lanting" Mr. Wang Yijun's diligence and talent in calligraphy can be imagined.
Mr. Wang Yijun learning calligraphy is not a family tradition, his ancestors did not learn calligraphy, he with the love of traditional calligraphy, no teacher to teach on their own pondering, groping, after graduating from secondary school, with their own strength is admitted to the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts calligraphy major.
Mr. Wang Yijun is the leader of the thesis, he said that calligraphy scholars should not care too much about "God", focusing on "shape" and "potential", first learn the "shape", and then through the gesture to make the "shape" and "potential" connect, dig out each other to form life.
"Calligraphy has form and power, and when combined, there is naturally a god." This is Mr. Wang Yijun's experience in learning theology, he stressed that the study of calligraphy should be written into the post, it should be exactly the same as the ancients, through the comparison of self-written posts with the ancients, repeated training, in order to learn it, and then write the calligraphy well.
Mr. Wang Yijun also concluded that after writing in, if you have not written well, you must consider changing your writing habits, first slow down the rhythm, study how the ancients wrote, how you write, close to the rhythm of the ancients, for a long time, you write naturally have a quaint state, naturally have charm, attractive.
"Only by going deep can it be reliable, and can we save time and cost." Mr. Wang Yijun suggested that calligraphy scholars should not learn too widely, and that one or two kinds of targeted study should be studied in depth and in order to produce results.

Mr. Wang Yijun's diligence and talent, in calligraphy has made extraordinary achievements, in October 2007, April 2010 was invited to participate in the first and second "Chinese Book Circle 42 Lanting Ya collection", and twice was named "Lanting Seven Sons".
Mr. Wang Yijun's calligraphy works have won the first National Youth Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Exhibition, the second prize of the First National Calligraphy Exhibition, the first prize of the First National Cursive Book Exhibition, the "Lin Sanzhi Award" in the second "Lin Sanzhi Award" calligraphy exhibition, the nomination award of the Ninth National Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Exhibition, and so on.
In June 2007, at the "AMI China Art Index • China Art Market Calligraphy and Painting Annual Ranking Conference", Mr. Wang Yijun was selected as "China's Top Ten Calligraphers with the Most Appreciation Potential" and ranked first.
