Xu Yanbo is currently a member of the China Book Association, a member of the Cursive Book Committee of the Shandong Provincial Book Association, a director of the Shandong Youth Book Association, the secretary general of the Book Committee, the vice chairman of the Binzhou Book Association, and a lecturer at Binzhou Vocational College.
Graduated from Shandong Academy of Arts and Crafts majoring in calligraphy, he graduated from the First Ancient Character Creation Seminar of the Chinese Character Museum, the First National Modern Engraving Art Public Welfare Project Class, and the Third Jianshu Calligraphy Seminar of Yuelu Academy of Hunan University. He was hired as a tutor of the calligraphy teacher training project of the national primary and secondary schools of "Hanmo Salary Transmission", a special creator of the Shandong Book Court of Shandong Painting Academy, and a librarian of the Binzhou Municipal CPPCC Cultural and Historical Museum.
His calligraphy works have won the 7th National Calligraphy Newcomers New Works Exhibition, the 3rd "Sitang Cup" National Calligraphy Works Exhibition Excellence Award (the highest award), the National Young Artistic Talents (Calligraphy and Painting) Achievement Award of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the 8th Shandong Provincial People's Government "Taishan Literature and Art Award", the "Qilu Cultural Star" of Shandong Province, the first prize of the Shandong Provincial Teachers' Calligraphy Competition, the "May 1st Labor Medal" of Binzhou City, and the "Top Ten Cultural Talents" of Binzhou.
He was included in the Second National Exhibition of Large Character Calligraphy Art, the Exhibition of Research and Creation of Carved Stone Calligraphy of the National Academy of Painting of China, the First "Sha Menghai Cup" National Exhibition of Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Works, the First "Sun Guoting Award" National Cursive Calligraphy Exhibition, the First China "Mazu Cup" National Calligraphy seal Engraving Exhibition, the Second "Yangxin Award" National Calligraphy Works Exhibition, the International Calligraphy Exhibition to Commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Hu Wensui's Birth, the National Calligraphy Exhibition of "The Han Monument line of Confucius and Meng", the "National Exhibition Elite" Exhibition of Shandong Calligraphy, the Shandong-Hunan Calligraphy Academic Exchange Exhibition, The 6th Shandong Provincial Calligraphy seal engraving works exhibition, "800" calligraphy works exhibition and so on more than 40 times.
Calligraphy papers and calligraphy works have been published in professional newspapers and periodicals such as "Art Hundred", "Calligraphy Newspaper", "Calligraphy Herald" and other professional newspapers and periodicals, and a personal calligraphy exhibition was held in Shanghai in June 2018.
