On the afternoon of January 19, the Fifth Session of the Twelfth CPPCC National Committee of Anhui Province elected Tang Liangzhi as the chairman of the 12th CPPCC Provincial Committee; the meeting elected Sun Yunfei as the vice chairman of the 12th CPPCC Provincial Committee.
Tang Liangzhi, born in June 1960, is an alternate member of the 19th Central Committee, who served as the mayor of Wuhan, the mayor of Chengdu, the secretary of the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee, etc. In 2017, he was appointed deputy secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, and was elected mayor of Chongqing in January of the following year, and was recently appointed secretary of the party group of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Sun Yunfei, born in 1962, has served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and secretary of the Lu'an Municipal Party Committee.
