According to Yonhap News Agency, Gimpo City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, said on the 20th that 13 confirmed cases of new crown will appear in a church in Gimpo, including church personnel. By this point, the number of cluster infections associated with this church had risen to 189.

The church has had its first confirmed case of new crown since the 12th, and more cases have appeared since then. Nine of the confirmed patients have been diagnosed with the Omikejong strain.

South Korea's epidemic prevention authorities said that 289 people are being quarantined and monitored, and confirmed cases of new crown are expected.

It is reported that the Central Disaster Security Countermeasures Headquarters of south Korea said that the government temporarily lifted the epidemic prevention pass (vaccination certificate, negative certificate) system applicable to cram schools, reading rooms, museums, cinemas, large supermarkets and other places with low risk of epidemic transmission from January 18.

However, masks are prohibited in facilities such as reading rooms and cram schools, and epidemic prevention passes continue to be applied to restaurants and cafes in facilities such as department stores and informal performance venues with more than 50 people.
