The Three Jewels in the Tao Te Ching can be applied to any field after reading it
He who is good in the past will not be ignorant of the people, but will be foolish. The incurable nature of the people is great in their wisdom. Rule the country with wisdom, the thief of the country; do not rule the country with wisdom, the blessing of the country. It is known that both are also italics. It is often known that italics are called Xuande. Xuande is deep, far away, and the opposite of things, and even Da Shun.
In ancient times, those who governed the country according to objective truth did not let the people learn to be clever and clever, but let the people become simple and generous. People are difficult to manage because too much ingenuity becomes treachery. Therefore, the state will do harm to the country by using wisdom to manage the people; it is the blessing of the country not to manage the people with wisdom. If you know the difference between the two governing the country, you will also know the law of governing the country. The frequent use of this law is the highest virtue. This is profound, and it is a return to the basics of all things, so that we can go with nature (that is, the Tao) to the greatest extent. If the rulers fail to treat the people with humility, the contradictions in society will continue to intensify. Ruling by doing nothing does not mean doing nothing, but the ruler must abandon his ingenuity and take such a high-minded virtue as great virtue and inaction to penetrate the hearts of the people in order to be in a dominant position for a long time.
Jiang Hai can be called the king of the hundred valleys, and because of his goodness, he can be the king of the hundred valleys. It is the saint who desires to go to the people, and he will say what he says, and if he wants the people before him, he will follow behind him; it is the saint who is on the top and the people are not heavy, and the people who are in front of him are not harmed; it is the joy of the world that pushes and does not get tired. Because of its indisputable, the world cannot compete with it.
The reason why Jianghai can become a place where many rivers gather is because it is good at being downstream, so it can become the king of hundreds of rivers. To be a human being is also to be humble to the bottom. Therefore, if the saint wants to lead the people, he must express humility to the people in words. If you want to lead the people, you must put your own interests last. In this way, the saint is in a position of leadership without burdening the people, and leading the people without harming their interests. Therefore, the people of the world are willing to respect him and do not feel disgusted. Because he does not compete with the people for any interests, no one in the world dares to fight with him. It is easy to fight in the country and difficult to defend the country, and the need to continue to maintain the country is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. If the people are in deep trouble for a long time, then the next person to fight the country will stand up.
The whole world calls me big, and it seems that I am not good. The husband is only big, so it seems to be not shawl. If you are a shaw, long and thin! Husband I have three treasures, hold and protect them, one is kindness, the other is thrifty, and the third is not daring to be the first in the world. Kindness, therefore, can be courageous; frugality, so can be broad; do not dare to be the first in the world, so can become a long instrument. Now give kindness and courage, give up thrift and breadth, give up later and first, and die. Fu Ci, with the war to win, with the code of solidity. The world saves it, and defends it with mercy.
People all over the world say that it is so big that it doesn't look like anything. It's because it's so big that it doesn't resemble anything else. If the Tao is like a concrete thing, then it is as insignificant as anything else. I have three magic weapons and have always insisted on them, one is compassion, the other is frugality, and the third is not daring to seek my own interests first. Because of compassion, he is brave, because he is frugal, he is generous, and because he does not benefit himself, he can become the leader of the world. If we now abandon compassion only for bravery, for frugality and abundance, for humility and leadership, then we will perish. If you face the war with a loving heart, you can win, and the defense can be stable. If Heaven wants to save a person, it will give him a compassionate heart. In fact, this is to warn everyone to tolerate others in life, not to be too greedy for material things and too much pursuit of money, causing us to lose not things but ourselves. If you feel that you are good to others and to others, in fact, when you give this goodness, it is not for the other party, but for yourself. Because in life, the people and things we encounter are actually a mirror of ourselves, and what we express to others is actually for ourselves.
Those who are good at soldiers are not armed, those who are good at fighting are not angry, those who are good at winning wars are not with each other, and those who are good at using people are subordinate. It is said that it is indisputable virtue, it is said that it is the use of human strength, it is said to match the heavens, and it is the extreme of ancients.
Those who are good at commanding do not respect force, those who are good at fighting are not easy to be provoked, those who are good at defeating the enemy and winning victories do not confront the enemy head-on, and those who are good at employing people are humble. This is the virtue of not fighting, this is good at using the ability of others, this is in line with the Heavenly Dao, this is the highest state of the ancient people's treatment of others. This is actually a person who is a general, don't be strong, don't be irritable, don't fight hard, and make good use of borrowing. As the commander of the three armed forces, he must not be brave and be angry. War is a contest of national strength but at the same time a contest of wisdom. That's also true in real life, and the same is true of how we manage.
I dare not be a guest for the Lord, nor dare I advance and retreat. It is said that there is no action, no arm, still invincible, and no soldier. The calamity is greater than that of the light enemy, and the light enemy has lost several treasures. Therefore, the resistance of the army is added, and the mourner wins.
The principle of combat is: I do not dare to take the initiative to attack, but to take a defensive approach, not to rush forward an inch, but rather to retreat a foot. Do what is called a position but does not appear to be; kill the enemy with an arm but do not feel that there is an arm; the enemy is present but does not seem to see the enemy; holding a weapon in his hand but as if he is not holding a weapon. The greatest evil is the light enemy, and the light enemy is the loss of my magic weapon (this is actually the same as the essence of the Three Jewels mentioned above, but with different names in different fields). Therefore, when the two armies fight, it must be the side with compassion that wins. This can also be considered a tactic, when the enemy comes, do not confront it head-on, retreat and take the material away, then the enemy's supply will be a problem, with the extension of time, the enemy's morale continues to weaken, so that there is no battle and victory. In fact, this is also a retreat into the advance.
