And a while ago, the suspected pyramid scheme of the star Zhang Ting was also exposed on the Internet, which is actually the result of being brainwashed by some celebrities or celebrities.
From this, we extend to calligraphy to talk about some corresponding phenomena in the calligraphy world. In terms of calligraphy culture, of course, there is such a group of followers, I often see some comments, for some people with status, regardless of their level of calligraphy, they are all praised, and they are extremely flattering, that eloquence is really quite good, comparable to Ding Chunqiu's disciples. In fact, this phenomenon is one of the biggest obstacles to the aesthetics of calligraphy, and it is also a stumbling block to the destruction of aesthetic justice standards. So do these people who preach ugly books and so-called "art" have their own beliefs? Or do you believe in the "art" you preach? I don't think so, so what is real art? What is a true artist? Let's dissect it from the following two aspects:
First, what is true art?
In my opinion, real art can be appreciated by the common people, that is to say, whether it is the ordinary people, or some so-called masters, in their eyes, real art will definitely be recognized by everyone, in the aesthetics of art, there may be "YangChun", "White Snow" and "Xiali", "Ba Ren", but no matter which one, it will be appreciated and accepted by people. Only by doing so can it be considered true art. On this point, I think there is no objection. Of course, it is not excluded that some people have special habits, because there is no wonder in the world, there are all kinds of people in the world, aesthetic and appreciation angles are different, of course, for some things, some people do appreciate from their own point of view.
Some people in the previous comment area said foreign symphonies, and some people said Chinese guzheng, although this is also art, but not everyone can appreciate it. For this example, I admit that some people don't like it, but no one says that the symphony is not good, it is ugly, and no one says that the guzheng is not good, it is an ugly thing. In fact, this situation also verifies the view I said above, this is real art, although some people do not like it, but they all admit or recognize, will be accepted by the public. Therefore, for calligraphy is the same, some people say that Gao Shu is not vulgar, I feel that this sentence in some people's understanding, this understanding is biased. Just like symphony and guzheng, if it is really art, even if you can't understand it, you think it's beautiful, but the angle of appreciation is different, and for some people's so-called "high books" are naturally the same, the survey I have done before can prove that we take some excellent calligraphy in ancient times, five fonts, and finally the masses like calligraphy and calligraphy the most, although they can't understand the grass seal, they also recognize that it is some relatively good works, because they can't appreciate it due to their own level, but they all give recognition. The "high book" in some people is different, this is not a problem that the masses do not recognize, but a problem that the masses particularly dislike, and even hate. If it is art, it can only be someone else's art, it is indeed a niche art, a personal habit.
Second, what is a true artist?
I personally believe that real artists tend to simplify complexity and express some seemingly profound things in the most superficial way, rather than deliberately mystifying some things that are originally very ordinary. Let's compare the remarks of several calligraphers to see that Wang Xizhi's evaluation of his calligraphy is: "My book is better than Zhong and Zhang, when resisting, or excessive." Zhang Cao is like a goose. Zhang Jing is very skilled, Linchi studies books, and the pool water is full of ink, if I delay this, I may not be grateful. It can be seen that his self-evaluation is still relatively conceited, and he also admits that he is not as good as Zhang Zhi. Mi Fu wrote in his treatise on cursive: If cursive does not enter the Jin dynasty, it will become a product. Old Mr. Qi Gong said: I am a writer, how can I become a calligrapher when I write? Let's see if this sentence is very straightforward, very simple and grounded? But let's see what some of the so-called masters say? Master Zeng's quote: "Laugh at the sky and go out, my generation is a basil person"; Shao Yan came again with a sentence "Calligraphy has nothing to do with Chinese characters, you don't understand art"; Wang Dongling's classic quote is "I am a master of calligraphy, comparable to a book saint, leading a generation of calligraphy, refusing mortals to point fingers at me and my works." "I don't know how everyone feels after listening to the self-evaluation of these calligraphers above."
When talking about literature, Yu Hua, a famous writer on the mainland, said this: Literature is an inconspicuous clerk in the courtroom, and the process of a court trial he records is only many years later that neither the plaintiff nor the defendant is important, and the literary record is such a reality. This passage of his intuitively expresses literature in a humorous and simple way. A passage by Qian Xuesen, a famous scientist on the mainland, is even more thought-provoking, saying: I am a scientific and technological worker, and the purpose of my life is to serve the people.
Through such a comparison, it is not difficult to see a realm problem. Are true scientists and artists doing their work only for their own appreciation? Absolutely not! Are they creating something far from the people? Not even more! But many of our current so-called calligraphy masters have done it, and they not only laugh at the people's ignorance of art, but also try to mystify, high-end, and elitize calligraphy art. They regard themselves as gods, using some "art" that everyone cannot understand, hoping that they will be worshiped by the broad masses of the people and hold high above the heads of the people. Is this an artist? I don't know, but what I'm sure is that this is by no means a People's Artist!
Third, the problem of art followers.
We know that true artists conquer people by their works, infect people by their character, and attract a large number of followers by their own achievements. Pseudo-artists, on the other hand, gather people by being innovative, attracting people with strange ideas, and gaining the attention of their followers by making things up and confusing black and white. True artists survive on their own work, virtues, and achievements, even if none of the fans are still artists; pseudo-artists are not, pseudo-artists are worthless without fans.
As we talked about at the beginning, some celebrity problems, without the identity of celebrities, will their words and deeds be paid attention to? Will anyone care? Then the same is true in calligraphy. If these titles are left, will the so-called "innovative" ideas and artistic ideas of some masters be followed? Will anyone support it? There may also be, but it is a very small number, and it will not set off any demon wind in the calligraphy world at all, just as the so-called people are light-hearted. I also hope that this art masters can one day do an experiment, hide all their false names, go to a strange calligraphy circle to promote his artistic concept, and see how many people can agree; of course, for the sake of comparison, we can also let some publicly recognized calligraphy do the same experiment, because the real art is appreciated by both elegant and popular, so a comparison is estimated to be the original form.
