Andrew Garfield is certainly very good at keeping secrets. Whenever asked if he would be part of Spider-Man, the actor had to lie: in order not to spoil the surprise. (Spoiler warning: He is.) ）
He even did this to ex-girlfriend and former Superman Spider-Man co-star Emma Stone.
Garfield revealed in a recent happy, sad, confused podcast that Stone wasn't too happy when she found out the truth.
The 38-year-old said: "Emma kept texting me and she said, 'Are you in this new Spider-Man movie?' I was like, 'I don't know what you're talking about!' ’”
He added: "She was like, 'Shut up, tell me,' like, honestly... I kept going, even with her, and it was fun. Then she saw it, and she was like, 'You're an asshole!' '”
In No Way Out, Garfield and Toby Maguire— who played Spider-Man in three Spider-Man films from 2002 to 2007— added Tom Holland to the finale of the Spider-Man Homecoming trilogy. Due to the rift in the multiverse, three Spider-Mans could be in the same universe.
Garfield and Stone appeared in 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man and its 2014 sequel. The co-stars dated for four years before announcing their withdrawal in 2015. Spider-Man: Nowhere To Go was a huge success at the box office and was the only pandemic-era film to break the $1 billion mark worldwide.
