  Last month, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Guilin Outer Ring Expressway project was held next to County Road 139 in Suqiao Town, Yongfu County, and the "Second Ring Expressway" that was expected by The citizens of Guilin finally officially ushered in the construction period.

  In order to alleviate the problem of traffic congestion, the city has planned and built a ring highway to divert vehicles and alleviate the traffic pressure in the urban area. The original ring highway has been "in service" for many years, which has brought great convenience to the travel of Guilin people, so what traffic conveniences will this new outer ring highway bring to Guilin?

The construction period of 4 years will be invested in about 19.980 billion yuan

  The reporter learned from the Municipal Transportation Bureau that the Guilin Outer Ring Expressway project starts from Liutang Town, Lingui District, connects with the G65 Baomao Expressway, goes west through Luojin Town and Suqiao Town in Yongfu County, and liangjiang Town in Jingkai District and Lingui District, crosses the new Guiliu Expressway under construction, enters Wutong Town, Lingchuan County Fair Township, Tanxia Town, Sanjie Town, and Lingchuan Town along the west side of Liangjiang International Airport, crosses the G72 Quannan Expressway, Guilin to Zhongshan Expressway, and then enters Diecai District, and connects to the Guilin Ring Expressway in Shangyangjia Village, Dahe Township.

  The total length of the project route is about 124.3 kilometers, with a total investment of about 19.980 billion yuan, the project adopts PPP mode operation, which is invested and operated by Poly Changchang Engineering Co., Ltd., and is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic in 2024. The project adopts the standard construction of two-way four-lane highway, with a subgrade width of 26.5 meters and a design speed of 120 km / h. There are 13 interchanges, including 7 hub interchanges and 6 service interchanges.

  The bridge-tunnel ratio of the project is 37.69%, and there are 90 main line bridges (including main line bridges and main line separation overpasses in the interchange area), including 9 special bridges, 54 bridges, 27 middle bridges and no small bridges; 12 tunnels are set up, including 5 long tunnels, 3 medium tunnels and 4 short tunnels.

  It is understood that the areas through which the project passes have relatively high environmental protection requirements, so in the future construction process, various scenic spots and water source protection areas will be avoided, while reducing unnecessary damage to mountain forest areas during the construction process. As can be seen from the map, the Guilin Outer Ring Expressway does not form a large closed loop like the Ring Expressway, but only "winds" about two-thirds of the circle, which is actually related to the concept of green development.

Connect multiple high-speed lines in series to relieve the pressure of the "inner ring"

  It is understood that the Guilin Outer Ring Expressway is one of the liaison lines and urban transit roads planned in the "Guangxi Expressway Network Planning (2018-2030)", which will play the main function of connecting horizontal and vertical traffic conversion to a number of expressways passing through Guilin.

  From the perspective of several hub interchanges, the G65 Baomao Expressway (set up Liutang Hub) is connected at the beginning of the project in Liutang Town, the indirect G72 Quannan Expressway in Yongfu Town and Suqiao Town (suqiao hub is set up); the Guiliu Expressway that is remodeled and expanded after entering Lingui District (setting up the Liangjiang Hub); the G321 and G76 Xiamen Rong Expressways are continuously crossed to the east on the north side of Wutong Town (setting up the Wutong Hub); after entering Lingchuan County, pass through the middle of Lingchuan Town and Sanjie Town, and connect with the G72 Quannan Expressway (set up the Three Streets Hub) After crossing the Li River in Lingchuan, the Lingchuan East Hub is set up to connect with the Guilin-Gongcheng-Zhongshan Expressway; and the end point is connected to the Guilin Ring Expressway (set up the Diecai East Hub) in Shangyangjia Village, Dahe Township, Diecai District.

  "The Guilin Outer Ring Expressway basically connects several high-speed 'aortas' in Guilin, which is not only conducive to the traffic conversion between several highways, but also alleviates the traffic pressure during the peak period of the Guilin Ring Expressway to a certain extent." The staff of the Municipal Transportation Bureau said that the speed of 120 kilometers per hour is also faster than the high-speed around the city.

  In recent years, Guilin has continuously expanded its urban scale, and the construction of this road has also met the growing demand for tourism and industrial development in Guilin. "The project is close to transportation hubs such as Liangjiang International Airport and Wutong Railway Station, and is also close to industrial parks such as Guilin Economic and Technological Development Zone, which will further enhance the economic radiation capacity of Guilin's central region and is an important measure to build a high-speed road network system for Guilin's 1-hour core tourism economic circle."

  At the same time, after the completion of the project, it will further enhance Guilin's status as a city at the junction of the "Belt and Road" and the border between Qianyue, Guangdong, Xianggui and Guizhou. At the same time, this road is also an important part of the new land-sea corridor in the west, and is an efficient and comprehensive transportation system to accelerate the construction of the main channel from Chongqing to the mouth of the Beibu Bay through Guiyang and Liuzhou and the Guilin node in the Friendship Pass to Hunan Passage.

  Of course, the construction of the expressway will also drive the economy along the route and help rural revitalization. Lingchuan County's Fair Township, Tanxia Town, Lingui's Chadong Town, Yongfu's Luojin Town will all build new interchanges, which is more conducive to the "going out" of local characteristic agricultural products. The Diecai East Hub at the end will change the situation that there is no high-speed entrance and exit in Diecai District, and also allow the Guilin Ring Expressway to add a new entrance and exit, making it more convenient for citizens to travel.

2021 is the year with the most new high-speed construction

  As the first year of the "14th Five-Year Plan" in 2021, Guilin's expressway construction has blossomed in an all-round way, and it is also the year with the largest number of newly started expressway projects in the past few years, reaching 7.

  In addition to the Guilin Outer Ring Expressway, the Yanglu Road and Heba Road Lipu Connecting Expressway started construction in March 2021 with a total investment of about 2.189 billion yuan; the Jeonju-Rongxian Highway (Pingle to Zhaoping Section) started construction in March with a total investment of about 9.23 billion yuan; the Jeonju-Rongxian Highway (Dong'an via Jeonju to Guanyang Guangxi Section) started construction in September with a total investment of about 8.81 billion yuan; the Jiang-Rong'an-Lipu Highway (Rong'an via Yongfu to Yangshuo Section), the Guanyang-Tian'e Highway (Jiangyong-Guilin Guangxi Section), The Construction of the Guilin-Qinzhou Port Highway (Yongfu Sanhuang to Liuzhou Section) began in December with a total investment of about RMB21.03 billion, RMB12.84 billion and RMB170 million respectively.

  It is reported that the above-mentioned expressways are planned to be completed in 2024, which also means that by 2024, the Guilin expressway network will be more mature, the connection between regions will be closer, and the "southbound, northbound, eastern and western integration" will fully bloom.

  Looking forward to 2022, it is expected that the newly started expressway projects include Longsheng to Gongzhong Highway (Longsheng to Rong'an section), G72 Quannan Expressway Jeonju to Guilin section of the expressway reconstruction and expansion, Pingle to Lipu Expressway, Hunan Passage to Resources to Jeonju Phoenix Expressway and other 4, county expressway construction to a new level.

  Among them, the G72 Guilin Jeonju to Liuzhou Section Expressway Reconstruction and Expansion Project (Jeonju to Guilin Section) project starts from the northeast side of Huangshahe Town in Jeonju County (K964065, Xianggui boundary), connects with the G72 Hunan section, and ends with the Guilin West Hub Interchange (K1116 940), and then connects with the G72 Quannan Expressway Guilin to Liuzhou Section Reconstruction and Expansion Project. The renovation and expansion of the project is conducive to improving the service capacity of interprovincial channels, and is of great significance to the implementation of the new mission of Guangxi's "three major positions", strengthening the connection between the urban agglomeration of Northern Guizhou and the urban agglomeration of Beibu Bay, enhancing the radiation and driving effect of Nanning, the core city of Beibu Bay, on surrounding cities, building an international tourist resort in Guilin, and further enhancing the economic and social development of counties along the route.

  The Pingle-Lipu Expressway project is located between Pingle County and Lipu City, and after completion, it will optimize the layout of the regional expressway skeleton network, realize the effective connection between the Pingzhao Expressway and the Liyu Expressway, provide a smooth road transport environment for regional economic development, further expand the coverage of the expressway, and strengthen the interconnection of transportation infrastructure between Gongcheng, Guanyang and other northern counties and Pingle and Lipu.
