China FAW: In 2022, it plans to sell 4.1 million vehicles and generate an operating income of 770 billion yuan

Jiwei Network News, on January 18, China FAW held the 2022 China FAW and Hongqi Brand News Annual Conference through the connection of Changchun, Beijing and Shanghai. The annual meeting introduced the business development of China FAW and Hongqi brands in 2021, as well as the business objectives and work ideas in 2022, and released the new corporate logo of China FAW.

Looking back at 2021, China FAW sold 3.5 million vehicles in the whole year; its operating income was 707 billion yuan, an increase of 1.4% year-on-year. Among them, independent brands continue to maintain an overall good growth trend. Hongqi brand sales exceeded 300,000 vehicles, an increase of 50.1% year-on-year, ranking first in the second camp of high-end automobile brands in the Chinese market, and ranking first in the growth rate of high-end automobile brands.

At the meeting, Qiu Xiandong, director, general manager and deputy secretary of the party committee of China FAW, released the overall business target of China FAW in 2022, planning to sell 4.1 million vehicles in the whole year, an increase of 17.1% year-on-year; operating income of 770 billion yuan, an increase of 8.9%; market share of 15%; R & D investment intensity of more than 3%, and strive to reach 3.5%, independent brands reached about 8%.

After that, Qiu Xiandong focused on the following key tasks.

The first is to take the development of the "red flag" as the benchmark. In the past four years, china FAW Hongqi brand has achieved 63-fold growth from more than 4,700 vehicles to 300,000 vehicles per year, creating a miracle for the development of high-end brands in China's automobile industry and even the global automobile industry! However, compared with the development vision of the Hongqi brand itself, there is still a lot of room for improvement. Therefore, the Hongqi brand must accelerate its progress, achieve transcendence, continue to lead the way, and strive to become a benchmark for the group and even the industry.

The second is to take brand building as the guide. China FAW will firmly grasp the profound transformation trend and major historical opportunities of the automobile industry, create an excellent brand management system, optimize the brand management work mechanism, vigorously improve the operation and management ability with the brand as the whole, better, faster and stronger to establish national automobile brands such as Hongqi, Jiefang, and Besturn, and embark on a road of beyond the development of Chinese national automobile brands in the new era.

The third is user-centric. China FAW will adhere to the concept of sincerity, intention and dedication, and fully implement the concept of "user center" and "all for users, all services for users, and all respect for users", so that all work focuses on users and user operations.

The fourth is to take comprehensive innovation as the main line. China FAW will use the thinking of "can be completely torn down and restarted, must be zero innovation and construction", create a new generation of automotive product platform and technology platform of "integration, less pieces, and software", and strive to become the source of innovation in the automotive industry, and achieve the goal of technological innovation, product innovation achievements and capabilities industry leadership.

In terms of supply chain security and supply assurance, China FAW will further enhance its ability to predict and respond to supply risks, and accelerate the construction of a new supply chain system that is independent and controllable. In terms of the battle to improve the energy of big marketing innovation, China FAW will focus on user operations, take digital intelligence as the guarantee, and build an excellent marketing system with integrated integration, lean and efficient, innovation and creation. At the meeting, Qiu Xiandong released the new corporate logo of China FAW.
