China Academy of Information and Communications Technology: In December 2021, the domestic market shipments of mobile phones were 33.401 million units, an increase of 25.6% year-on-year, of which 5G mobile phones were 27.145 million units, an increase of 49.2% year-on-year, accounting for 81.3% of mobile phone shipments in the same period. In the whole year of 2021, the overall shipment of mobile phones in the domestic market totaled 351 million units, an increase of 13.9% year-on-year, of which 5G mobile phone shipments were 266 million units, an increase of 63.5% year-on-year, accounting for 75.9% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.
The strength of domestic demand is unexpected, after all, the economic downturn has made many people tighten their money bags, but the reverse growth of the mobile phone industry is also unexpected.
