The online car market learned from Beijing off-road officials that the brand sold 32,015 new cars in 2021, up 16% from 27,599 in 2020. Beijing's off-road sales target for 2022 is set at 38,000 units, up 18% year-on-year. In terms of new products, the BJ60 medium and large hardcore SUV will be officially launched within this year, and the new car is expected to start at 200,000 yuan, and the competitors will point directly to the tank 300.
It is worth mentioning that the sales of Off-road export models in Beijing are also remarkable. In 2021, 1,609 new vehicles were exported, up 443.6% year-on-year. Export regions mainly include Central and Western Asia, Southeast Asia/South Asia, Africa and Central and South America, accounting for 64%, 21%, 7% and 6% respectively.
Looking back at 2021, Beijing Off-Road has completed the deployment of BJ40 models, including the Ring Tower Champion Edition, blade hero edition, city hunter edition, rainforest crossing edition and so on. Among them, the Blade Hero Edition accounted for 40% of sales, while the 2,021-unit Ring Tower Champion Edition was snapped up in just four months.
In terms of new cars, the BJ60 is currently in the road test stage, and will roll off the production line in April this year and complete the listing within the year. The BJ60 front face continues the family's porous grille design, and the rear is equipped with an external spare tire. The new car size is between BJ40 and BJ80, and the vehicle size is larger than the tank 300. In terms of price, BJ60 is expected to have a price range of about 200,000-290,000 yuan.
