Jin Yuanhan, a Yi villager in Jichangping Town, Panzhou City, was born in a "paper-cutting family", and from an early age, he picked up scissors and embarked on the road of paper-cutting creation. He ingeniously outlined the festivals, customs, production and life scenes of the Yi people, as well as flowers, birds, insects and fish, etc., showing the Yi family's love for life.
In addition to national culture, Jin Yuanhan began to draw nutrition from traditional calligraphy and painting, boldly created paper-cut works such as Meilan Bamboo Chrysanthemum, Zodiac Sign, and Lady, and combined with real life, actively praised national unity, praised the spirit of the times, and recorded social development. His creative themes are more abundant and diverse, and the things he cuts out are also loved by more and more people.
Engaged in paper-cutting for 50 years, Jin Yuanhan has won honorary titles such as "Guizhou Famous Craftsman" and "Guizhou National Paper-cutting Craft Master", and many works such as "Swing" and "Bullfighting" have won awards.
In the past 50 years, Jin Yuanhan has cut out the wonderful traditional culture and cut it into the famous national paper-cutting craft master "Golden Scissors". As a non-hereditary heir of paper-cutting, in order to better promote the art of paper-cutting, Jin Yuanhan opened an intangible cultural exhibition room to display intangible cultural heritage works such as paper-cutting, handicrafts, and embroidery.
Jin Yuanhan also stepped onto the podium to bring the art of paper-cutting into the school classroom, he said: "It turned out that the old ancestors taught that paper-cutting skills could not be passed on, and I felt that it was not possible, so I went into the school and taught these very good things to the students completely, so as to better pass on the Paper-cutting of the Yi family." ”
