The business scope of FAW Fudi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. includes: the development, production, sales of power batteries and battery systems, as well as the provision of related after-sales and technical consulting services.
It is understood that BYD's Fudi Industrial Co., Ltd. will subscribe 510 million yuan, and FAW Equity Investment (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. will subscribe 490 million yuan.
Equity penetration shows that BYD's wholly-owned subsidiary, Fordi Industrial Co., Ltd., holds 51% of the shares, and FAW Equity Investment (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China FAW Group Co., Ltd., holds 49% of the shares.
According to reports, the factory will be built in three phases, and finally achieve an annual production capacity of 45GWh for power batteries, matching the scale of more than one million vehicles.
At present, BYD's "blade battery" production capacity supply is tight, and after the plant is completed and put into operation, it will greatly alleviate the situation of insufficient production capacity.
In addition, the intersection of BYD and FAW has a long history, before, FAW Hongqi E-QM5 model, has been equipped with BYD blade battery, FAW is also one of the earliest customers of BYD battery.
