Feikai Material: The liquid crystal material produced by the company's wholly-owned subsidiary and cheng display can be applied to electronic paper

Jiwei Network News On January 27, some investors asked Feikai Materials on the interactive platform what projects and layouts the company currently has in terms of electronic paper.

Feikai material replied that electronic paper is a display that coats electronic ink on a layer of plastic film, which can be applied to the thin film transistor (TFT/PET/FPC and other materials) circuit, and is controlled by the drive IC to form a pixel graphic display. The liquid crystal materials produced by the company's wholly-owned subsidiary and cheng display can be applied to electronic paper. With the introduction of the concept of electronic paper, the increase in application scenarios will increase the demand for liquid crystal materials of the company to a certain extent, and the company will actively pay attention to the industry dynamics in the future, timely understand the market demand, and plan the development direction in advance.

It is reported that Hecheng Display, as the industry leader and national intellectual property demonstration enterprise, has made a major breakthrough in the research and development of liquid crystal polymer products through independent research and development, and has applied for 605 patents from material components, preparation processes to downstream applications, 156 overseas layout patents, and the main technology has been independently controllable. The basic patent technology "a polymer stable directional liquid crystal composition and its application" and "liquid crystal composition and liquid crystal display device" won the 20th and 22nd China Patent Gold Awards respectively.

It is understood that the electronic paper display screen achieves a visual effect by reflecting ambient light, so it looks more like ordinary paper. The energy efficiency of this display is very high, because once the display is turned on, it no longer needs current to maintain the display of text, and only consumes energy when turning pages.

Due to the unique advantages of electronic paper, it has been used in all fields of life. For example, the bus stop signs in Shanghai have been installed with electronic paper screens, real-time dynamic display of bus routes, and rely on solar charging; electronic paper shelf labels replace traditional paper price tags, which can change price information, reducing the use of paper more environmentally friendly; electronic paper conference table cards, electronic paper badge labels, smart wearables and other applications can see the figure of electronic paper.

In terms of industrial chain, many international famous companies, including Xerox, Kodak, 3M, Toshiba, Motorola, Canon, Epson, Ricoh, IBM, etc., are involved in the field of electronic paper.
