Forcing the Japanese army to evacuate Qingdao for a time and successfully escaping from the Japanese prison, the martial artist Gao Fangxian was strong

Among the anti-Japanese heroes, there is a martial arts master named Gao Fangxian, who not only forced the Japanese army to evacuate Qingdao for a while, but he also successfully escaped from the Japanese prison, so how strong is he and what kind of legendary experience does he have?

(Gao Fangxian)

Mr. Gao Fang was a native of Qingdao Jimo in 1914.

When Gao Fangxian was born, it was the early years of the Republic of China. At that time, the state strongly advocated the practice of martial arts by the whole people to ward off foreign humiliation. Therefore, folk martial arts, which have always been in the mainstream, have suddenly become a highly respected sport throughout the country.

Under the influence of the general environment, Gao Fang liked to dance knives and guns when he was young. In 1922, under his father's arrangement, Gao Fangxian studied martial arts at a boxing master while attending elementary school. As a result of learning martial arts from an early age, Gao Fangxian not only cultivated a strong physique, but also honed a strong will.

After graduating, Gao Fangxian became a worker at the Cangkou Japanese merchant Zhongyuan Spinning Factory. During his workmanship, Gao Fangxian successively visited Wang Yongbin, Tian Hongye, Li Yisan and other famous boxers to learn The Northern Shaolin Fist, Digong Fist, Shape Intention Fist and Wrestling. Because Gao Fangxian was obsessed with martial arts, he practiced particularly diligently, and soon, he was proficient in all kinds of martial arts, especially wrestling and boxing.

At that time, the National Government had already taken the practice of martial arts to strengthen the country as an important measure to improve the quality of the people, not only requiring all provinces and cities to establish the National Art Museum, but also setting an example and taking the lead in establishing the Central National Art Museum. Subsequently, the various provinces and cities of the National Art Museum also mushroomed to be created, Qingdao naturally did not want to be left behind, but also in 1929 also founded the Qingdao National Art Museum.

What made Gao Fangxian happy was that at that time, the Qingdao Guoshu Hall was full of famous masters in the martial arts world, such as Yang Mingzhai, the descendant of Sun Zhiquan, Gao Fengling, a famous monkey-shaped boxer, and Yin Yuzhang, the son of Yin Fu, the master of Bagua, which can be said to be a gathering of heroes. Therefore, gao Fang first studied martial arts in the Qingdao Guoshu Hall in his spare time, and with the guidance of martial arts masters, his martial arts progressed rapidly.

In 1933, the 17th North China Games was held in Qingdao, and for the first time, wrestling was included in the single national art competition. At that time, 19-year-old Gao Fangxian signed up for the boxing and wrestling projects for Qingdao Guoshuguan, and as a result, he won the championship in both events, and he also made a name for himself in the martial arts world. Since then, he has won wrestling and boxing championships at the National Games and two Qingdao Games.

Gao Fangxian was tall, with thick eyebrows and big eyes, coupled with strong martial arts, so he soon became a star figure in Qingdao's martial arts community. Because of his fame, he was invited to the Cangkou Guoshu Training Institute as an instructor, mainly teaching wrestling and boxing.

Immediately after the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, patriots participated in the War of Resistance, and Gao Fangxian became the mainstay of the Anti-Japanese Resistance.

After the "9.18" incident, the Japanese occupied the three eastern provinces without a single shot, and they became more and more arrogant when they tasted the sweetness, and they wanted to annex Qingdao several times.

In 1936, as Japan's arrogance in invading China became more and more arrogant, coupled with the fact that the Japanese were in the nine major spinning mills in Qingdao at that time, they intensified their exploitation of workers, so the intolerable workers held a general strike.

(Qingdao strike)

As a result, the Japanese government, on the pretext of "protecting Japanese enterprises," immediately ordered the Japanese Marines to land in Qingdao, and forced The Mayor of Qingdao, Shen Honglie, to hand over military and political power several times. Seeing that the Sino-Japanese war was about to break out, Gao Fangxian, in order to prevent the Japanese from sneaking attacks, organized the students of the National Art Museum and formed a "National Art Salvation Brigade" to prepare to resist foreign enemies at any time.

Shen Honglie greatly praised Gao Fangxian's behavior and incorporated the Guoshu National Salvation Brigade into the Qingdao Security Third Brigade, and Gao Fangxian was appointed as the second lieutenant detachment leader.

At this time, the Sino-Japanese war was on the verge of breaking out, and in order to grasp the movements of the Japanese, Gao Fangxian organized the Qingdao Security Brigade into a surveillance group, a combat group, and an explosives group; the members of the surveillance group mainly monitored the activities of Japanese secret agents and the Japanese army in various parts of the city; the combat group was ready to fight at any time; the demolition group was waiting in a strict position, only waiting for war to start, and immediately blew up all Japanese enterprises in the urban area, so as not to allow these Japanese enterprises to provide war readiness materials to the Japanese army.

After the Japanese agents discovered the behavior of the Qingdao security forces, they believed that if there was a war, the Japanese army would not be able to win easily, so the Japanese Marines temporarily withdrew from Qingdao.

After the Lugou Bridge Incident, the Japanese army launched an all-out war of aggression against China. The strategic Qingdao soon became a occupied area. Before evacuating Qingdao, Shen Honglie followed the instructions of the Nationalist Government and implemented a "scorched earth" policy on Qingdao, blowing up all factories and important facilities. Gao Fangxian directed the demolition team to blow up the Nine Major Japanese Spinning Mills in Qingdao, along with dozens of other Japanese factories. Subsequently, he led the security team to evacuate Qingdao with Shen Honglie.

After that, due to Gao Fangxian's repeated outstanding performance in anti-Japanese actions, he was soon appointed as the head of the Qingdao Security Brigade. In order to resist the Japanese army, Gao Fangxian also trained the security brigade into a large knife team, and fought jointly with the local anti-Japanese troops in Laiyang and other places, fighting many beautiful battles with less victory.

In 1939, after Li Xianliang, the acting mayor of Qingdao, entered Laoshan, he and Gao Fangxian had known each other in the early days of the Anti-Japanese War, so they were very clear about Gao Fangxian's command ability. So he reorganized the security brigade into the Qingdao Security Corps, with him concurrently serving as the chief captain and Gao Fangxian as the deputy chief.

Since Gao Fang was a native of Laoshan First, he was not only easy to communicate with the local people and had a good understanding of the local terrain, but also most of the security corps were students of the GuoshuGuan, and Gao Fang was also a teacher and friend with them, and he was better dispatched. Therefore, the operation and training of the security corps were all responsible for Gao Fangxian. He also trained the Security Corps into an elite division that could be turned into sanda guerrilla warfare and able to engage the Japanese army and face the blows. Although the anti-Japanese forces were limited, the flexible and changeable way of playing once made the Japanese army very passive. Gao Fangxian was also known as the "Lion of Qingdao" for a while, and his prestige was out for a while.

In 1942, Gao Fangxian was studying the enemy situation with more than a dozen teammates of the Security Corps when he was suddenly surrounded by more than 500 Japanese troops. It turned out that after the Japanese army received the news, when they encircled Gao Fangxian, they blocked a village for each time they occupied it. Therefore, the comrades sent by Gao Fang to send out the sentry could not deliver the news. When Gao Fang first found the Japanese, the Japanese were only 2 miles away from them.

Despite the disparity in numbers, Gao Fangxian and more than a dozen teammates fought fiercely with the Japanese. After a 2-hour battle, they eventually ran out of ammunition and became prisoners of the Japanese.

The Japanese army was very happy to capture Gao Fangxian, and they used both soft and hard tactics against Gao Fangxian, coercing and inducing, and torturing gao Fangxian, so that they could dig up intelligence from Gao Fangxian. However, Gao Fangxian, who had been tortured in every way, never opened his mouth, and when he was first imprisoned, he went on a hunger strike for 3 days to show his indomitability.

Because they could not get information, the Japanese army handed Gao Fang over to the Japanese gendarmerie first.

(Japanese Gendarmerie)

The Japanese gendarmerie has a notoriety of "bloodthirsty institutions", where there are countless forms of torture. But whoever falls into their hands will not only be tormented like hell, but it will be difficult to survive. However, the gendarmerie knew Gao Fangxian's influence and value, so they did not treat Gao Fangxian rudely, but repeatedly asked the traitors to do work for him, hoping that he could serve the imperial army. But all the traitors who went to persuade were scolded by Gao Fangxian. He made it firm that he would rather die than be a traitor. His performance in prison not only made the traitors ashamed and embarrassed, but also made the Japanese army respect his spirit of ignoring life and death, and even more made the comrades in prison build up confidence in the victory of the War of Resistance.

Not only that, Gao Fangxian also actively planned to escape from prison, secretly contacting the captured comrades in prison to prepare for the escape.

One day, Gao Fangxian learned that the Japanese army had plans to travel far, and the prison was guarded by a Japanese gendarme. So after the Japanese team left, Gao Fang first used a trick to trick the Japanese gendarmes into opening the prison door, and then he easily killed the Japanese gendarmes with superb martial arts, and opened all the cell doors, and for a while, everyone fled.

By the next day, the comrades who had escaped from prison had returned to the anti-war ranks, but only Gao Fangxian was missing.

Everyone was worried that Gao Fangxian would be arrested again, but they were afraid of alarming the Japanese army, so they did not dare to search for it on a large scale. Fortunately, not long after, Gao Fangxian asked them to bring them a note, saying that because of their weak health, they could not go far, and could only temporarily hide in the village occupied by the Japanese army, and then rush back to the security corps at night.

Only then did everyone put their minds at ease, sending people to greet Gao Fangxian, and on the other hand, sending people everywhere to distribute leaflets that read, "Welcome Captain Tall to return from danger."

Sure enough, the Japanese army thought that Gao Fang had escaped from their sphere of influence first, so they did not send any more troops to search.

In April 1945, due to the long-term inability to attack Laoshan, the Japanese army transferred tens of thousands of troops and launched a large-scale attack on Laoshan.

They soon occupied important hills. In order to eliminate the Qingdao Security Corps, which had previously inflicted countless heavy losses on them. Step by step, they planned to force the Qingdao Security Corps to the sea step by step, leaving it with no way to retreat and then annihilating them all.

Because they blocked all exports, the Qingdao Security Corps not only had no guns and ammunition to be replenished, but even the food supply was cut off. But Gao Fangxian was not discouraged, he encouraged his teammates, saying that he must fight with the Japanese army to the end, and it was a big deal to be a martyr to hang on to future generations.

With the spirit of seeing death as a homecoming, the Qingdao Security Corps has always refused to yield to the Japanese army and has always fought tenaciously. Fortunately, just when they were about to run out of food, they received news of Japan's surrender.

According to the "Records of the Luqing War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression," the Qingdao Security Corps commanded by Gao Fangxian alone recorded as many as 78 times of the War of Resistance, and there were more than 200 guerrilla battles of various kinds.

In 1948, the Qingdao Security Corps was reorganized by the Kuomintang into the Qingdao Security Brigade, and Gao Fangxian was appointed brigade commander of the major general. In 1949, after the collapse of the Kuomintang, Gao Fang first withdrew to Baodao with the Kuomintang.

However, Gao Fangxian, because he was not a concubine, was quite coldly treated and ostracized in the military circles of Baodao, and finally he took the initiative to resign from the military. After leaving the military, Gao Fang first taught martial arts, and served as a martial arts professor at the Sports College and Tunghai University. In addition, in order to promote martial arts, he also set up a field in the park and recruited disciples. Because of his fame, many martial arts enthusiasts flocked to him, and at one time his disciples were all over the treasure island.

In 1980, at the age of 66, Gao Fangxian died of a cerebral hemorrhage. It is said that at his funeral, thousands of people came, and most of these people were the old headquarters of the Qingdao Security Corps and his students. As for the military circles, because many people want to avoid suspicion, there are very few people who come, which makes people sigh.
