According to the official WeChat public account of the Tianjin Municipal Health Commission "Healthy Tianjin", at 0-24:00 on January 17, 2022, there were 18 new confirmed cases of local new coronary pneumonia in Tianjin. There are no new confirmed cases of imported COVID-19 from abroad. There were no new indigenous asymptomatic infected persons, and 1 new case of asymptomatic infected person imported from abroad was added. 4 people were cured and discharged from hospital (imported cases from abroad).

From January 8, 2022 to January 17, 2022, Tianjin has reported a cumulative total of 312 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 312 cases in hospital. A total of 22 asymptomatic infected people have been reported, of which 14 are still under medical observation and 8 are confirmed cases.

From January 2020 to January 17, 2022, Tianjin has reported a total of 460 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia, 145 discharged cases, 3 deaths, and 312 cases in hospital. A total of 502 confirmed cases of imported novel coronavirus pneumonia have been reported, 422 discharged cases and 80 cases are in hospital. A total of 501 cases of asymptomatic infected persons (474 cases imported from abroad) were reported, of which 377 cases were released from medical observation, 55 cases were still under medical observation (including 14 cases in China and 41 cases imported from abroad), and 69 cases were converted into confirmed cases. A total of 28,319 close contacts have been traced, and 9,324 are still under medical observation.
