Yu Fengzhi was born into a merchant family. His father was the richest man in Lishu County, Jilin Province. He and Zhang Zuolin have a lot of friendship. After the two families married, she became an outstanding young marshal lady. Unfortunately, she had cancer, but miraculously survived.
She broke into the Wall Street stock market alone, successfully gained a foothold in the stock market, and rose to fame in the American business community. In 1908, Zhang Zuolin was seized by the imperial court and chased down bandits in the Songliao Plain.

In the spring of the following year, when Zhang Zuolin led his army and bandits to a decisive battle at the Dragon King Temple in Northern Mexico, they were embarrassed by insufficient military strength and shortage of grain and grass. He personally went to The Wendu TaoNan to persuade Wu Junsheng to support Zhang Zuolin, and finally won the battle. Zhang Zuolin thanked him for this.
In 1914, Zhang Zuolin gradually developed into the "King of Northeast China" who held military power, in charge of military and political power. When zheng jiatun and his old friend Yu Wendou reminisced about the past, he happened to know that his friend's daughter and son Zhang Xueliang were a pair made in heaven and earth, so he worked hard to promote this marriage.
At that time, Zhang Xueliang was only 16 years old, and he very much disagreed with this family affair arranged by his father, and was resolutely unwilling to marry Yu Fengzhi. The reason why Zhang Xueliang did not agree to this family affair was not only because the bride Yu Fengzhi was 3 years older than him, but also because Zhang Xueliang received a new-style education and was very disgusted with the feudal arranged marriage. Although Zhang Zuolin was an overseer, his son resolutely disagreed with the marriage, and he had nothing to do. In the end, Zhang Zuolin had to think of a compromise method, and he said to Zhang Xueliang:
Your original roommate must listen to me. If you do not agree to the old-fashioned marriage, after you marry the daughter of the Yu family, you will ask your daughter-in-law to follow your mother (referring to Lady Lu). You're looking for women out there again, I can leave it alone.
Because of Zhang Zuolin's words, Yu Fengzhi's marriage was doomed to a tragic end from the beginning. In this way, under the supervision of Zhang Zuolin, Zhang Xueliang and Yu Fengzhi held a wedding in 1916. After getting married, Yu Fengzhi tied all his feelings to her husband. However, Zhang Xueliang eventually brought back a different woman as his father Zhang Zuolin had said.
In 1928, Zhang Zuolin died, and Zhang Xueliang rushed back from Tianjin to Shenyang to inherit the great cause. Soon after, Zhang Xueliang wrote a letter inviting Zhao Yidi to come to Shenyang. At that time, Zhao Yidi's father did not agree to his daughter's association with Zhang Xueliang, but Zhao Yidi ran away from home despite the family's objections and came to Shenyang to reunite with Zhang Xueliang. At this point, Yu Fengzhi had nothing to say, so he had to acquiesce to Zhao Yidi's entry and exit as a secretary. This half-century-long emotional entanglement between the three of them began.
Yu Fengzhi received a good family education from an early age, was humble and charitable, and had a general understanding of the overall situation in handling things, and was deeply loved by the whole family in the Marshal's Mansion. After she married Zhang Xueliang, she took good care of Zhang Xueliang's life and living, so Zhang Xueliang always affectionately called her "big sister". Perhaps there is no love between Zhang Xueliang and her, but there is undoubtedly family affection and friendship between the two.
Later, Zhang Xueliang was placed under house arrest for the "Xi'an Incident", when Yu Fengzhi was taking care of his children in England to study, and after learning the news, he came to her husband's side and accompanied her husband through several years of seclusion. In 1940, Yu Fengzhi was diagnosed with breast cancer and went to the United States for medical treatment in 1945 with the help of friends. Since then, she has never seen Zhang Xueliang again, and the husband and wife have been separated since then. On July 4, 1964, after 24 years of separation from her husband, she finally chose to complete Zhao Yidi.
After Yu Fengzhi and Zhang Xueliang got married, it can be said that she tied all her body and mind to her husband, and she gave her husband everything she could give, caring, considerate, loving, and helping, and Yu Fengzhi can be said to have fulfilled all the responsibilities that she can do as a wife. Unfortunately, in the end, she still could not go to the end with Zhang Xueliang, which was really regrettable.
After Separating from her husband in 1940 and until her death on March 20, 1990, Yu Fengzhi waited for her husband to return for 50 years, and even wanted to be buried with him after her death, but unfortunately her last wish was not fulfilled.
