This article discusses that in the pre-Qin era of China, while developing the natural world, it also paid attention to the protection of the ecological environment, so that the ancient Chinese civilization could be inherited.
Modern ecology believes that all life on Earth is maintained by solar energy provided by green plants, so the world's earliest ancient civilizations were conceived in the most superior ecological environment at that time. The Chinese civilization, like the Babylonian, Egyptian, Indian and Mediterranean civilizations, has also received special favors from nature. However, with the growth of civilization, the ecological environment has also been increasingly seriously damaged, according to historical documents, there are three main factors leading to the destruction of ecological balance, slash-and-burn agriculture makes the forest disappear in a large area; "Fire fields" not only bury flocks of wild animals in the sea of fire, but also turn wild plants into ashes; Large-scale livestock farming has caused large areas of grassland to disappear from nature. At the same time, China's ancestors had a long time ago the awareness of protecting the ecological environment and took a series of corresponding measures to preserve Chinese civilization and develop to this day. In the pre-Qin era, the specific contents of China's protection of the ecological environment were: (1) protection of forests. The main measures are to close the mountains and cultivate forests, open them regularly, protect young trees, and prohibit indiscriminate logging. (2) Protect wild animals. 1. Exterminational hunting is strictly prohibited. 2. Protect young animals and eggs. (3) Protect aquatic resources. The specific measures are: 1. It is strictly forbidden to fish during the breeding and growing seasons of aquariums. 2. In order to protect juvenile fish, there is a limit on the size of the net. 3. It is strictly forbidden to exhaust the fish, and it is also very strictly restrictive for the use of drugs and medicines. As one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization, although the ecological environment there has also suffered serious damage, our national traditions have not been interrupted, and the glorious history and culture of our nation have not been annihilated, and to this day, our people are still developing, transforming and utilizing the nature here, which should be attributed to a large extent to the attention and protection of the ecological environment by our ancestors.
