Professor Wu Chengxue has long been committed to the study of "ancient poetry", and the main research areas are "ancient poetry criticism research", "ancient Chinese stylistics" and "ancient stylistic forms". Wu Chengxue's "Research on Ancient Chinese Stylistics" was selected into the National Social Science Fund Achievement Library in 2010 and published by the People's Publishing House in 2011, and has won the first prize of the 7th Ministry of Education Higher Education Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) (2015) and the 4th Global Chinese Sinology Achievement Award (2020).
