The first Taiwanese pilot to pilot the uprising, the plane was hit by more than 200 bullet holes and forced to land

Taiwan has been a part of China's territory since ancient times, and the people of Taiwan have all immigrated from Fujian, Guangdong, and other regions in china's ancient dynasties. After the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Taiwan returned to the motherland, but the remnants of the Kuomintang army led by Chiang Kai-shek fled to the island of Taiwan, causing Taiwan to hang overseas again.

In the decades of cross-strait confrontation, hundreds of Kuomintang pilots flew back to the mainland in fighter jets to revolt, and the first Kuomintang pilot to fly the plane to revolt was Du Daoshi, a captain of the Eighth Brigade of the Kuomintang Air Force stationed in Taiwan. In 1917, Du Daoshi was born in a scholarly family in Shandong, and in that era, the family that could become a pilot was either rich or expensive, and Du Daoshi's family was actually very rich.

In 1936, at the time of the nation's peril, Du Daoshi ignored the persuasion of his family and gave up the precious opportunity to enter Tsinghua University for further study, and resolutely and resolutely entered the Kuomintang Central Aviation School. In 1943, the Eighth Flying Group of the Kuomintang Air Force was in urgent need of additional aircraft, and sent Du Daoshi to the United States to receive the B-24 new long-range bomber and learn flight techniques in the United States. During his stay in the United States, Du Daoshi came into contact with the English books and periodicals "Red Star Shines on China" by Snow and other progressive journalists who reported on the progress of the Yan'an Revolution, and he often exchanged feelings with his friend Liu Shanben. Du Daoshi also hated corruption within the Kuomintang at that time, so from that time he germinated the idea of going to Yan'an to have a look.

In 1946, Du Dao's good friend Liu Shanben became the first pilot in the Kuomintang Air Force to fly from the Kuomintang Air Force to Yan'an in an uprising, and Liu Shanben's uprising caused a great sensation at that time, not only shocking the Kuomintang authorities at that time, but also setting an example for other pilots of the Kuomintang Air Force to follow in the uprising. After Liu Shanben's uprising, the Kuomintang air force department tightened control over the pilots.

In the summer of 1948, Du Daoshi's cousin and the head of the underground party in jiaodong at that time, Du Ming welcomed Du Daoshi's uprising, and at the same time stipulated the contact wavelength, swinging the wing, throwing protective umbrellas and other contact signals. Du Daoshi's wife also knew what he was doing and covered his contact with the crew, but due to the strict internal investigation of the Kuomintang, there was never a chance. In January 1949, after the Battle of Huaihai, the Kuomintang army arranged for Du Daoshi to take his wife and daughter to Hsinchu, Taiwan, in two separate planes.

On the evening of April 16, 1949, when Hao Ziyi, a mechanic of the Eighth Brigade of the Air Force, informed Du Dao that the next day Mao Shangzhen ,the cousin of Chiang Ching-kuo, the squadron leader of the Twentieth Brigade, would fly a C-46 plane to Nanjing the next morning and arrange for him to prepare a plane, at which time Hao Ziyi would fill up with fuel. Because the Kuomintang army was tightly guarded at the time, Du Daoshi did not have the opportunity to take his family with him or notify the crew. On April 17, Hao Ziyi picked out one of the most sophisticated No. 333s in the whole brigade, refueled enough, and Du Daoshi immediately flew toward the mainland.

After the plane arrived at the Xuzhou military airport, it dropped an open white safety umbrella to show the plane's request for landing. After the air force receivers present saw the contact code of Du Dao, they knew that it was an uprising aircraft, and hurriedly used the telephone to inform the air defense units not to shoot, but it was too late. At that time, our army was often bombarded by the Kuomintang Air Force, and we hated the Kuomintang Air Force to the bone, and before the superiors gave orders, they began to fire, and the plane piloted by Du Daoshi was hit with more than 200 bullet holes. After du Daoshi's uprising, he flew a plane to Beiping and was cordially received by Vice Chairman Zhou Enlai and Commander-in-Chief Zhu De. Du Daoshi's wife and children later returned to the mainland safely under the arrangement of my underground party.
