Guizhou Provincial Museum is the only provincial comprehensive museum in Guizhou Province, with more than 270,000 natural specimens and paleontological fossils, prehistoric cultural relics, excavated cultural relics, modern cultural relics, ethnic and folk relics reflecting the history and culture of Guizhou, porcelain, calligraphy and painting, jade and other cultural relics and rare books.

The Guizhou Provincial Library is divided into the South Library and the North Library. The South Pavilion is located at 130 Beijing Road. The new Guizhou Provincial Library (North Library), which officially opened on May 28, 2021, is jointly built with the Two Libraries of Guiyang Children's Library, and forms a three-hall integration with the Provincial Museum, located in Lincheng East Road, Guanshanhu District, Guiyang City. The north and south pavilions can be reached within 25 minutes via Guiyang Metro Line 1.
