In fact, what makes Kung Fu Automobile more concerned is the performance of several second-camp car companies, Chery's sales reached 961,900 units, only one step away from one million; SAIC passenger car sales reached 800,800 units, a year-on-year surge of 21.72%, a record high, and 2021 is the first time in 40 years that SAIC's independent sales exceeded the joint venture, which is even reported by the People's Daily; as for BYD, Although the absolute sales volume is only 730,100 vehicles, it has made a major breakthrough in the field of new energy.

(1) The re-emerging "first brother", Chery finally learned to "copy homework"?
In recent years, everyone seems to have become accustomed to Geely as its own brand "brother", but more than a decade ago, this title was exclusive to Chery. As the earliest car company to start independent research and development, Chery's early QQ, Oriental Son and other series of models were once very popular. Unfortunately, later into the pit of multi-brand strategy, the group's sub-brands fell on each other, and only then did they give the first position to others.
Judging from the performance of the past two years, Chery seems to have slowly come out of the mire.
First of all, the main line is clarified, and the Tiggo 8 series has become the real "home flower Dan", with annual sales exceeding 160,000 vehicles, so that Chery finally has its own fist products. The Tiggo 7 series is also checking for omissions and filling gaps, focusing on cost performance, as a young choice to supplement the Tiggo 8 series, the combination of the two has achieved good results. In addition, Chery's product line is becoming more and more clear, high-end main Starway series, and then there is a Jietu brand main entry-level market.
In terms of technology, Chery has also made a big breakthrough, and the biggest change is the launch of the Kunpeng Power 2.0T high-power engine, with a maximum horsepower of 261 horses and a maximum torque of 400 Nm, all of which have reached the world-class level. Its emergence has also made high-end models such as Lanyue, Lingyun and Tiggo 8 PLUS more competitive.
The export strategy is still the focus of Chery, which achieved 269154 export results in 2021, an increase of 36% year-on-year, and the official statement is to set a new record for Chinese brands to "sail to sea", and ranked first in the export of Chinese brand passenger cars for 19 consecutive years. This we will not press the table first, but this result is indeed quite outstanding.
However, what surprised Kung Fu Cars the most was that Chery, as an old "technical house", actually learned to "copy homework". At the end of 2021, Chery "pressed whistle" listed a new car QQ ice cream. This model actually has little to do with the old QQ, but inherited the name, the new car is based on a new pure electric platform to build, basically the design, positioning, pricing are copied from the popular model Hongguang MINI EV, the first month of the market delivered 9866 vehicles, became a new hit.
In early January, Chery unveiled a new car, the Jetway T-X, which could be seen at a glance as going to the Tank 300. This shows that Chery has finally learned to move with the market. Since the opponents are so successful, it is no harm to learn.
It may be far from the position of "one brother" for the time being, but Chery's upward momentum has been very obvious.
(2) Independent first super super joint venture, SAIC motor independent ushered in the spring
As we all know, SAIC Motor is the leading automobile in China. But it has always been its joint venture brand more famous, after all, the first domestic joint venture SAIC Volkswagen, is a national "hand-picked" project, SAIC-GM is also the most integrated joint venture car company in the group.
However, at a time when the joint venture share ratio is about to be liberalized, the sales volume of SAIC's own brands has exceeded that of the joint venture brand for the first time, which has greatly encouraged the automotive industry.
In fact, strictly speaking, SAIC has surpassed Chery to become the "export king". Not to mention that SAIC Motor's export volume reached 598,000 vehicles, which is too bullying for the group. The total export volume of SAIC passenger cars in the whole year reached 290,000 units, which has surpassed Chery. It's just that Chery played a word game and excluded MG from the Chinese brand, although the brand is completely wholly owned by SAIC, and all the technology belongs to SAIC.
In fact, if you also count the export sales like Chery, SAIC's passenger car sales in 2021 have reached 1.1 million units, which is more than Chery and should be able to enter the first camp.
Specific to the product, SAIC's layout is also quite good. Roewe focuses on "premium national car", its RX5 series quality is quite outstanding, sales have been in the forefront, the recently listed iMAX8, but also became the only model in the MPV category of the Collision MPV category of China Insurance Research Institute; MG is the main "wisdom-led trend", the most typical is its just listed MG ONE, based on the latest SIGMA architecture to build, high-power power rekindled the passion of the track, the new intelligent experience is subversive. (3) Production capacity is the only enemy, and BYD is sitting firmly in the position of "one brother" of new energy
BYD's sales in 2021 are 730,100 units, which is not as good as Chery and SAIC, but its growth rate has reached a staggering 75.4%. The key is that its sales of new energy models have reached 593,700 units, and the average transaction price of bicycles has exceeded 150,000 yuan, which can be said to be the most successful car company in transformation.
In addition to the continuous power of the traditional pure electric sequence, BYD's biggest harvest in 2021 is the launch of the latest DM-i super hybrid system, which brings by-do's technical advantages to the extreme.
Different from the traditional hybrid system of oil-based and electrically supplemented, BYD's DM-i super hybrid system is a completely electric drive-based system. At the end of the year, BYD also launched the dolphin, the first model of the e-platform 3.0, positioning it as an entry-level scooter. Thanks to the optimization capabilities of the new platform, although the dolphin's body size is only 4070*1770*1570mm, the wheelbase has reached a staggering 2700mm. Of course, the dolphin's sense of technology is also very sufficient. With the two trump cards of DM-i and e platform 3.0, IT is expected that BYD's 2022 will still be a year of struggle with production capacity.
