During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Du Yuming led his troops to participate in many major battles. In the Battle of Kunlun Pass against Japan at the Battle of Guinan, Du Yuming led his army to severely damage the Japanese Kou, annihilated the Japanese Fifth Division, known as the "Steel Army", annihilated more than 4,000 Japanese Kou, and killed Masao Nakamura, commander of the 11th Brigade of the Japanese 5th Division.
