The name Hefei always looks like a brand of fertilizer, but Hefei is actually a historical and cultural city. Hefei is known as "the hometown of the Three Kingdoms, the hometown of Bao Zheng". The Three Kingdoms Eastern Wu Zhou Yu, Bao Zhengbao, Li Hongzhang, the prime minister of the late Qing Dynasty, Liu Mingchuan, the first governor of Taiwan, the warlords Feng Yuxiang and Duan Qirui, and The Chinese scientist Yang Zhenning were all hefei people.
Hefei has a history of more than 2,000 years. It is named after the fact that both the Dongmi River and the Nanmi River originate in this area. Zhumadian is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province, located in the south-central part of Henan Province.
Zhumadian is also one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization, the core area of the Pangu Genesis activities of pangu, the ancestor of the Chinese nation, and the hometown of Xuanyuan Huangdi's wife. During the Western Han Dynasty, the Han Dynasty set up Runan County.
Although zhumadian is now a very ordinary city, it was also very good in ancient times. During the Three Kingdoms period, Runan-gun was also a county that did not appear infrequently. During the two Han Dynasties, There were many talents in Runan County, and in the "Book of Later Han" and "Customs and Customs", there were more than 100 official and famous officials and celebrities of Runan County who had biographies and left their names, so they were called "Ru Half Dynasty" and "Runangu Duoqishi".
"Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" is one of the four major love stories of Han Chinese folk, and the birthplace of the story is Zhumadian. So, it's a place with cultural connotations.
The name Zhumadian first appeared in the Ming Dynasty, was founded in the Ming Dynasty during the Tianshun period (1457-1464), and belonged to the then Xiakui Bao of Zhenshan County. The name of Zhumadian, as the name suggests, is the ancient official horse rest station.
The names of this Zhumadian and Runan, of course, are good for the latter. In June 2000, the state approved Zhumadian to withdraw and set up a city. This is a new city.

Baoji City is located in the western part of the Guanzhong Plain and is an important city in Shaanxi Province.
Baoji has a history of more than 2,770 years of founding, and is also one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization, where the Yandi Emperor opened the Chinese farming civilization more than 5,000 years ago. At the same time, it is also the birthplace of the Zhou Dynasty and the Qin Dynasty. The ancient name of Baoji is also very famous, Baoji was called Yongcheng and Chencang in ancient times. The warlord Han Xin's scheme "Darkness Chen Cang" is called Baoji. It is also because of the four national treasures of the late Qing Dynasty (Mao Gongding, Da Lu Ding, Sanshi Pan, and Yu Jizi White Plate) unearthed here, so it is called the hometown of the Yan Emperor and the land of bronzes."
Chen Cang was changed to Baoji, or because of the Tang Dynasty. In the second year of Tang Zhide (757), the key moment of the Tang Dynasty's Anshi Rebellion, there was a cry of a divine chicken in Chen Cangshan, and the sound spread for more than ten miles. The Tang army was victorious one after another, and the rebel army was devastated. Emperor Suzong believed that the divine chicken was the treasure of the country and the auspicious omen of the chicken song, so he changed Chen Cang to Baoji, which is still used today.

Linyi is named after the Linyi River, which was called "Langya" in ancient times, which refers to the beautiful stone like jade, and The meaning of "Langya" is ivory. Linyi has a long history and is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization. Ancient sages Zengzi, Xunzi, Zhuge Liang, Wang Xizhi, Yan Zhenqing, Xiao Daocheng and other historical celebrities were all Langya people. The Langya Wang clan influenced China for hundreds of years during the Eastern Jin Dynasty. The "Langya List" starring Hu Ge is also a big name.
After the State of Qin unified the world, It set up Langya County. For a long time, this place was called Langya. However, after the Jin Dynasty destroyed the Song Dynasty, the Linyi region was divided into Yizhou, Juzhou, Pizhou, and Tai'an Prefecture. The name Langya disappeared.

Nanjing was called Jinling and Jiankang in ancient times, and Nanjing has as many as 44 names, jinling is the most elegant nickname in Nanjing. Nanjing is one of the four ancient capitals of China. There were successive dynasties such as Eastern Wu, Eastern Jin, Southern Dynasty Song Qi Liang Chen and Ming Dynasty who built capitals here. Due to its important position, Nanjing has blessed Zhengshuo of Huaxia several times, and is the only ancient capital among the four ancient capitals that has not been the capital of a foreign regime.
In 306 BC, the State of Chu destroyed Yue, and King Huai of Chu destroyed the State of Yue and established Jinling. After the fall of Eastern Wu in 280, Nanjing was renamed Moling, and in 283 it was renamed Jiangning County. In 1356 AD, Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty attacked Jiqing Road and renamed it Ying Tianfu, and in 1368 he proclaimed himself Emperor here, gradually changing Ying Tianfu to Nanjing. Since then, a Nanjing officially appeared in the record.

Xi'an and Luoyang are known as the twin stars of ancient Chinese capitals. The Han Empire and the Tang Empire sent out the strongest sound of ancient Chinese dynasties, fenghao capital city, Qin Afang Palace, terracotta warriors, Han Weiyang Palace, Changle Palace, Sui Daxing City, Tang Daming Palace, Xingqing Palace and so on outlined the "Chang'an complex". Therefore, Xi'an is a great city.
In 202 BC, Liu Bang defeated Xiang Yu to gain the world, and he set the capital at Guanzhong, taking the meaning of the local Chang'an Township and naming it "Chang'an", which means "long rule and long peace". And the city lives up to its reputation and has indeed brought glory to China.
But since the fall of the Tang Dynasty, Chang'an has completely declined, and now it is only a provincial capital. In March of the second year of Ming Hongwu (1369 AD), the general Xu Da entered Fengyuan Road, and the Ming government changed Fengyuan Road to Xi'an Province. There has been no Chang'an since.
Chang'an has become Xi'an, far less elegant and connotative than Chang'an. Many people hope that Xi'an will change its name back to Chang'an, but it may not be appropriate to change it back, and the reason why Chang'an is great is because of the Western Han And Tang Dynasties, but this has become history.
09. Failed name change 2nd place: Shijiazhuang
Shijiazhuang, known as Changshan in ancient times, was the hometown of Zhao Yun Zhao Zilong in the Three Kingdoms period. During the Qin Dynasty, Shijiazhuang belonged to Julu County. In the early years of the Western Han Dynasty, it was renamed Hengshan County, and at the beginning of the Han Dynasty, because Emperor Wen was named Heng, Hengshan County was changed to Changshan County. In 1947, Hebei was liberated, and it was officially named Shijiazhuang, which has been until now.
Shijiazhuang is now the capital of Hebei Province, but not only is the name not very good, but its economic status is also inconspicuous among the provincial capitals. In the Three Kingdoms period, Zhao Yun generally called himself "Changshan Zhao Zilong", which in modern times can only call himself "Shijiazhuang Zhao Zilong".

This obscure town in Qi County, Henan Province, turned out to be the ancient capital of the Shang Dynasty, known as Chaoge in ancient times. Yes, you heard it right, Qi County is Chaoge City.
