The drama is based on the Forbidden City beast "甪 (lù) End", telling a series of interesting and touching stories between the protagonist Xiao Luduan and his cultural relics family members. After the completion of the rehearsal, the play will be toured nationwide.

The Forbidden City launched the first original children's drama

On January 13th, the launching ceremony of the original children's drama "Luduan", jointly produced by the Palace Museum and Yi Ruiqi International Culture, was held in the Jianfu Palace Garden of the Palace Museum. The famous calligrapher Dong Zhenghe wrote an inscription for the old Forbidden City.

"Lu Duan" is the first original children's drama produced by the Palace Museum. Based on the Forbidden City beast "Lu duan", the drama tells a series of interesting and touching stories about the protagonist Xiao Luduan and his cultural relics family members, who are engaged in a series of interesting and touching stories because of a debate over whether to participate in a live webcast event.

Luduan is a kind of Chinese myth and legendary mythical beast, with a corner on its head, traveling 10,000 miles a day and 8,000 miles at night, speaking the language of the four directions, sending the beautiful prayers of the Chinese people for Guotai and Min'an. Starting from the perspective of children, the play guides teenagers to enter the museum in the form of parent-child dialogue, feel the history and inherit the culture.

Wang Xudong, president of the Palace Museum, introduced that the Palace Museum provided academic guidance for the play, and the creative team completed the creative transformation, and each other's advantages were brought into play to jointly promote the creation of the play. "The role of the play is far more than a literary and artistic performance, but will give full play to the role of spreading positive energy, leading values, guiding young people to establish a correct view of history and values, and consciously assume the social responsibility of inheriting and carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture."

It is reported that after the completion of the creation and rehearsal, the play will be toured nationwide. During the performance, a variety of public welfare activities will be held for young people, so that they can fall in love with the museum and Chinese culture in the colorful theater activities.

On November 29, 2021, the Palace Museum issued an announcement that in order to further implement the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Minors (hereinafter referred to as the Law on the Protection of Minors), the Palace Museum decided to pilot all open days for minors on the basis of free children under 6 years old or under 1.2 meters in height, as well as primary and secondary school students who make a unified reservation every Tuesday. As soon as the news came out, it aroused widespread concern.

On December 29, the Palace Museum launched the "Palace Museum Youth Museum Online Education Resource Platform" and the "Forbidden City Cloud Class" of the China Cultural Museum Deep Online Learning Platform.

Among them, the "Palace Museum Youth Museum Online Education Resource Platform" combined with the needs of the national "double reduction policy", brought together experts and scholars from the Palace Museum, colleges and universities and scientific research institutes, and carefully created a systematic and segmented traditional cultural education curriculum. All courses will enter the school in the form of public welfare and inclusiveness to serve primary and secondary school students across the country, aiming to help young people better inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
