This year is the 10th year that Jining Art Theater has been "crawling and rolling" in the field of children's drama creation and rehearsal. From the initial lack of talent and lack of experience, to now can create a number of children's dramas every year, and successively in 2019, 2020 by the National Arts Fund support, last year won Jining's first provincial stage art young talent creation support project, the above achievements show that Jining in the field of children's drama creation and rehearsal is gradually forming a scale, opening up the market, "Jining brand" is becoming increasingly prominent.
In this Spring Festival children's drama series, there are not only "When the National Anthem Sounds", which has won provincial support, but also the children's drama "Swinging The Oar", which has been supported by the National Arts Fund, and the children's drama "Ugly Duckling" (children's version) innovatively launched by the Art Theater. Many wonderful plays have formed a word of mouth among parents. Chen Chao introduced that the young actors of "The Ugly Duckling" (children's version) are all small students of the Theater Children's Art Center, and they use their spare time to rehearse in the theater. "In order to ensure the quality of the performance and make the children more confident, we deliberately let the children rehearse on the stage of the Canal Concert Hall on the afternoon of each performance." After the performance on the same day, many parents contacted the art theater, hoping to launch more children's versions of children's dramas, so that more children have the opportunity to get exercise on the big stage.

Chen Chao, one of the co-directors of "When the National Anthem Sounds", introduced that last year, the competition for the provincial stage art young talent creation support project was very fierce, and more than 200 works in the province submitted, "No more than 10 were finally selected." For the first submission to be successfully selected, Chen Chao believes that this is inseparable from the innovation of the play, "the paragraph-style children's drama is richer in content, and each paragraph is shorter, and it is easier for children to sit still." Although this drama is the main theme, the content is more inclined to use vivid and interesting stories to enhance the patriotic feelings of children and avoid didactic performances.
Although there are small achievements, there is still a long way to go. Jining Art Theater will further polish and upgrade the play, and in the future, it will not only launch a simplified version to carry out public welfare performances on campus, but also test the water of the performing arts market in other places.
Hou Jinsong said that after ten years of painstaking polishing, in recent years, the theater's children's drama has successfully opened the domestic performing arts market, "Our original anti-epidemic children's drama "Waiting for You to Go Home" has been staged in many cities in China, and "Dream Back to the Three Migration Roads" and "The Little Girl Who Sold Matches" will also successfully land on the Poly Theater Line this year. ”
These two children's dramas will be in July and August this year relying on the Poly theater line for a national tour, throughout Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other provinces more than ten cities, "the initial plan is three days, it is expected that these two dramas will be performed in two months a total of 20 performances, I believe it will further launch the children's drama brand in Jining City."
