On 11 January, shenzhen added four new cases of positive COVID-19 infection, which are in the same chain of transmission as other cases confirmed since January 7. So far, a total of 8 positive cases have been reported in this round of epidemic in Shenzhen.

According to the Shenzhen Health Commission, three of the new cases on January 11 were members of the same family living in Caopuxi Community, Qingshuihe Street, Luohu District. One of the males is 51 years old, and the other two women are 72 years old and 77 years old, respectively, and they are elderly infected.

Another case is a 27-year-old female, an employee of a company in Longgang District, living in Lane 5, Overseas Chinese Federation East Lane, Bantian Street, Longgang District. The woman was a close contact of the previous second case.

According to the Shenzhen Health Commission, the above cases were found in the investigation of close contacts and the control of key personnel. The four infected people have now been transferred to the municipal designated hospital for isolation and treatment, and the clinical diagnosis is pending. Relevant close contacts, sub-close contacts and key personnel are under investigation, their residence, work and related key areas have implemented control measures, and the key places where activities have been carried out have been terminally disinfected.

The current round of the epidemic in Shenzhen began on January 7. On the same day, the first infected person, Wang Mou, was detected positive when he regularly tested for nucleic acid for employees in key industries in the local area, and his work place was in Guowei Commercial Building, Liantang Street, Luohu District, and lived in Buji Community, Buji Street, Longgang District.
