To realize this vision, Longgang already has a good realistic foundation. At present, Longgang is already a national reading demonstration base for the whole people, the reading service system for the whole people has been continuously improved, and the non-governmental reading organizations have been active, and in recent years, Longgang has held an average of more than 2,000 reading activities per year.
This year, Longgang District will further promote reading for all, and more than 1,000 reading activities throughout the year will meet with the public. In 2007, the first labor service library was established in Longgang District. "Opening the library to the enterprise park is one of the characteristics of the library construction in Longgang District. The role of cultural services in promoting the optimization of the business environment is reflected in this. The relevant person in charge of the Longgang District Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau said that at present, there are 7 longgang district library branches in Longgang District Galaxy World, Tian'an Cloud Valley, Tian'an Cyber City, Kangli City, TusPark Xiexin and other enterprise parks and science and technology parks.
Since 2007, Longgang District has promoted the construction of the main branch of the library, and has basically formed a service network of the main branch of the district, street and community libraries. At present, there are more than 300 libraries and book bars and bookstores in the district, and the total collection of libraries is nearly 6 million volumes. The new District Children's Library will be opened within the year, and the District Second Children's Library is stepping up construction.

Yi Yukun, member of the Standing Committee of the Longgang District CPC Committee and director of the Publicity Department, revealed that in the next step, Longgang will bring new scenes of composite cultural experience integrating reading, learning, exchange and leisure to the public by building new reading spaces such as science and technology libraries, movie book bars, green field book bars, and mobile book houses.

Wang Jingsheng said in the lecture that the relationship between reading and innovation is inseparable, and reading has a wide and far-reaching impact on a nation, which is of great significance to the rise of a nation.
Wang Jingsheng said that the relationship between reading and innovation can be understood from four aspects: first, reading is the engine of innovation, and reading provides a hotbed for innovation; second, reading provides an ideological path and provides a knowledge base for innovation; third, the whole chain of reading accompanies innovation; fourth, the atmosphere and atmosphere of reading for the whole people, creating a good ecological environment for innovation.
Innovation has allowed Shenzhen to bid farewell to the remote corner it once had. The city uses innovation to keep young people in their footsteps and achieve young dreams. Wang Jingsheng said that Shenzhen's innovation index and reading index are highly overlapping, seemingly accidental is not accidental, the relationship between the two is mutually reinforcing, reading provides the best environment and atmosphere for the road of urban innovation. Reading fosters innovative ideas, and reading drives innovative development. Looking around the world, the most innovative countries are often the countries with the most popular reading among their citizens. The country with the strongest innovation ability in the world is Israel, which has the most innovative achievements and the highest conversion rate, and is also the country with the highest per capita reading capacity in the world, with 64 books per capita reading per year.
Focusing on the eastern part of Shenzhen, Longgang is an important supporting force for shenzhen's innovation "source power".
This year, Longgang District was listed in the "CCID Top 100 Innovative Districts", ranking tenth in the country. This year's Longgang District Government Work Report shows that in the past year, Longgang District's total social R&D investment accounted for 11.2% of GDP, and the number of PCT international patent applications was 7504, all of which ranked first in the city.
The "tinder" of innovation needs to be carefully cultivated, and reading by the whole people is conducive to tapping the potential of innovation. Building a "City of Reading" will continue to create a good innovation ecological environment for Longgang, stimulate the vitality of innovation and creation, and promote Longgang to build a highland of scientific and technological innovation with global competitiveness and influence.
