"Hu Shi's great name fell into the universe, and Madame's little feet followed." It is often said that behind every successful man there is a great woman. Hu Shi's life happened to have such a small-footed woman. This woman accompanied Hu Shi throughout her life and worked with Hu Shi in the storm.
In that era when old and new ideas collided, Hu Shi, the advocate of the new cultural movement, and Jiang Dongxiu, the "three-inch golden lotus", married the two. They are the product of a combination of feudal rites.
Hu Shi's mother was a very conservative woman in marriage, and the early death of her father made her mother raise him alone. The mother's difficulty made Hu Shi grow up early. Hu Shi was an extremely filial man, engaged to fifteen-year-old Jiang Dongxiu at the age of fourteen, and the two were engaged at a young age in the order of their mother, the words of a matchmaker, and even more outrageous fortune tellers.
After the engagement, Hu Shi went to the United States to study, and after returning to China, the two married. Their weddings did not take the traditional approach but took the form of a Western-style wedding. After marriage, Jiang Dongxiu often suffered from the injuries caused by foot binding, and the pain when washing his feet was unbearable. But Jiang Dongxiu never said this, she knew that her husband was very disgusted with these bad habits.

How many women did Hu Shi have in his life? Someone once counted at least seven women in Hu Shi's life, and I will briefly introduce a few women who have a profound influence on Hu Shi.
When studying abroad, he met a girl who was amazed by her talent and was very happy in his heart. But there was no ending, and he returned home. After returning to China, he met a confidant girl, and later he did not get away with it. At the wedding with Jiang Dongxiu, they met her bridesmaids, and the two fell in love with Jiang Dongxiu and often exchanged letters. All this is cruel to Jiang Dongxiu, although their married life is respectful. But more cruel ones came soon after, so that their peaceful lives were shattered.
Hu Shiyu wants to divorce Jiang Dongxiu in the relationship with his bridesmaid Cao Chengying. Jiang Dongxiu saw very clearly in this marriage that there was no love in their marriage.

In Hu Shi's work, she advised Hu Shi not to engage in politics and concentrate on his studies. However, Hu Shi insisted on going his own way, and when he was sent to the United States, Hu Shi jokingly claimed that he was forced to Liangshan. Hu Shi realized Jiang Dongxiu's foresight and his own mistakes. I have to say that Jiang Dongxiu, an ordinary woman, has wisdom that others do not have.
Jiang Dongxiu has his own unique views on how to deal with people. With the development of the new cultural movement, new culture, new ideas, have become the mainstream. Many people in the cultural circles pursue freedom of love and marriage. At that time, the poetry writer Liang Zongdai was one of them, and he already had a wife and concubine, and he fell in love with the writer Shen Ying, so he used the banner of love freedom to divorce the original Partner He Shi.
Jiang Dongxiu was very angry at Liang Zongdai's behavior, and resolutely decided to help the cowardly original Partner He Shi. Of course, Hu Shi was not happy, but Hu Shi did not dare, Hu Shi's salary was meager, it was difficult to support his family, and Jiang Dongxiu played mahjong very well, and the family's economic resources mainly relied on the money that Jiang Dongxiu usually won by playing mahjong. For this reason, Hu Shi dared to be angry and did not dare to speak, and could only spend his days next to the mahjong room.
Once when Hu Shi was out. Only Jiang Dongxiu was at home, a big han broke the window, and Jiang Dongxiu was in danger, she opened the door of the apartment, reflexively shouted to the big man: "GO"! The big man looked at her and really "GO". Later, I learned that Jiang Dongxiu did not speak English, she could only say "GO".
Fifth, the end of the Republic of China's wife
"I would have set my heart on the bright moon, but the bright moon shone in the ditch." Jiang Dongxiu went from being married to joining Hands with Hu Shi for a lifetime, and she walked through her short and legendary life. His husband had never loved her in his life, she knew, but she didn't say anything.
