From a disciple of Hanmen to a master of translation, the 16-year-old shengzhen poetry circle was known as the "poet of the southern country". At the age of 22, he studied in France and was described by Roman and Roland: "This is one of the most outstanding and learned Chinese young people I know." At the age of 28, he became a professor at Peking University and taught at Tsinghua University at the same time. And it is such a "Wen Zhuangyuan", but in the 80 years of life, leaving more than 100 fight records, Liang Zongdai's life can be described as a legend. What is even more legendary is Liang Zongdai's meandering love experience.
Liang Zongdai was originally from Xinhui, Guangdong, when he was a child, he followed his father to read in Guangxi, taught himself the Four Books and Five Classics and the Tang and Song Dynasties Eight Great Prose, loved to fight when he was a teenager, and had a nickname in his hometown called "Flipping Tianlang", which children around him did not obey, and the adults shouted: "Turning Tianlang is coming, don't run around", the children obeyed. When he grew up, Liang Zongdai left his hometown to learn martial arts, and later went to Guangzhou alone.
At the age of 16, Liang Zongdai, the "Wu Zhuangyuan" in the eyes of his friends, actually published poems in the famous "Oriental Magazine", "Student Magazine" and novel monthly newspaper, known as the "Poet of the Southern Kingdom", and was personally invited by Mao Dun to join the famous Literary Research Association, which made people stunned, and directly called it Wenqu Xingxiafan.
A reporter went to interview Liang Zongdai, and when he arrived at the door of Liang's house, the reporter saw that he was so young, and directly said: "Look for your father Liang Zongdai." Liang Zongdai laughed: "I am Liang Zongdai." In a word, let the reporter be blindfolded.
At the age of 17, the famous Liang Zongdai fell in love with his classmate Chen Cun.
Another year, eighteen-year-old Liang Zongdai was recalled to Guangxi by his father to marry He Ruiqiong, the daughter of his father's best friend. However, for He Ruiqiong, who has a general primary school culture and family background, Liang Zongdai did not like it very much, and refused to marry naked that night, and said: "No one should come to persuade me, if you want to persuade me, I will run naked." After marriage, Liang Zongdai continued his studies, and during the subsequent study period, only during the school holiday, Liang Zongdai would go home and live with He Ruiqiong.
In 1923, due to his excellent grades, at the age of 20, Liang Zongdai was escorted to Lingnan University for further study. He Ruiqiong knew that Liang Zongdai did not like her and hated his low level of education, so he asked Liang Zongdai to intercede with his father-in-law and let him continue his studies. Liang Zongdai took this opportunity to say to He Ruiqiong: I went to France to study to earn money for you to study, but after you graduated, we would break up and dissolve the marriage relationship.
In 1924, Liang Zongdai went to France to study, and during his study tour in Europe, the talented Liang Zongdai published poems in the famous "European Review" and other magazines in French, which was praised by the French literary hero Romain Rolland. He also fell in love with a French girl, Anna, and the two were very sweet, and Liang Zongdai also changed Anna's Chinese name "Bai Wei".
Liang Zongdai, who had a smooth life in Europe, seemed to have forgotten his promise to his wife He Ruiqiong at this time, and after only giving her ten pounds and US dollars, he never heard from her again. When He Ruiqiong later recalled, he said: I sold my jewelry before I could read books.
In 1931, the September 18 incident, the 28-year-old Liang Zongdai was worried about the national disaster, so he wrote a parting letter to Anna At that time, Anna and her mother were traveling in Spain, after receiving Liang Zongdai's parting letter, Anna immediately sent a telegram to Liang Zongdai, to the effect that she would soon return to Paris and hoped that Liang Zongdai would wait for her. Liang Zongdai may be afraid, after meeting, he could not say the two words of breaking up, and did not wait for Anna to return, he endured the pain of cutting love and returned to China alone.
Liang Zongdai, who returned to China, was invited by Hu Shi to become a professor of liberal arts at Peking University, and also taught at Tsinghua University. Teaching two famous schools, Liang Zongdai, who is only 28 years old, has unlimited scenery and a great future. Liang Zongdai, who is sought after by many young people, soon walked out of the shadow of lost love, and also took his original wife He Ruiqiong to live with him and take care of his own life.
At the end of the same year, Liang Zongdai met the female writer Shen Ying, fell in love at first sight, and fell in love. A few months later, he decided to divorce He Ruiqiong. In the divorce letter to He Ruiqiong, he said: "The men of the world let you love, and the women of the world let me ask... It is willing to pay two thousand yuan as honorary compensation, and from now on the marriage of men and women will not interfere with each other."
"That is, there is no white first intention, why chaos." Liang Zongdai's three initial chaos and abandonment completely angered He Ruiqiong, and after she borrowed 200 yuan from her father-in-law, she filed a lawsuit and took Liang Zongdai to court. He Shi listed several crimes such as Liang Zongdai's "abandonment of his wife, infidelity in marriage, and refusal to pay living expenses".
"Beiping Morning News" and other heavyweight publications have reported on the "professor's marriage change case". The news of the marriage change of "cultural star" Liang Zongdai shook Peking University and quickly spread throughout Beiping.
During this period, two professors and colleagues, Hu Shi and Chen Shouyi, because of sympathy for He Ruiqiong's plight, testified in court one after another: "Liang Zongdai must fulfill his marital obligations and must not abandon his wife. The court also ruled: "Confirming that the plaintiff is the wife of the defendant, the defendant shall pay the plaintiff one hundred yuan per month for living expenses from January 1, 200 years of the Republic of China... A quarter of the litigation costs are borne by the defendant and the rest by the plaintiff. ”
Liang Zongdai was dissatisfied with the court's judgment and appealed 6 times, and the divorce storm lasted for more than a year. In 1934, the educator Zhu Guangqian also joined the mediation team, due to multiple persuasions, coupled with Liang Zongdai's frozen property by the court, and finally agreed to pay He Ruiqiong 7,000 yuan to understand the case.
In his diary, Hu Shi summed up the incident and wrote: "The little man is intolerant, and he is so tired. ”
Liang Zongdai, on the other hand, felt that if it were not for Hu Shi and his professors, he would not have lost so badly, and in a public activity, he criticized Hu Shi: "Learning has its shallow side... Talking about ancient music, talking about Chinese painting, etc., is all nonsense... Corrupt our study style" and so on.
Liang Zongdai broke off relations with Hu Shi and resigned from Peking University to marry the female writer Shen Ying. Soon, Liang Zongdai accepted an offer of appointment from Nankai University and became a professor of English at NTU.
Shen Ying is the first daughter born to Liang Zongdai, and was named Siwei by Liang Zongdai, which reminds us of Liang Zongdai's girlfriend Bai Wei in France.
After marriage, Liang Zongdai and Shen Ying had a sweet new marriage period, but under the influence of chai rice oil and salt in life, no matter how good it was poetic, it could not withstand the "seven-year itch" that was annoying for a long time.
In 1941, the 48-year-old Liang Zongdai returned to his hometown of Baise to deal with things, and when he watched the Cantonese opera "Midnight Thief Xiangfei", he fell in love with the young female lead actress Gan Shaosu at first sight. That night, tossing and turning, unable to sleep at night, I wrote a seven-piece poem with a pen:

The next night, Liang Zongdai went to see the play again, and Gan Shaosu's talent and posture made him fall, and he wrote another seven-piece poem that night:

After that, it was the normal process, Liang Zongdai went to the backstage to meet Gan Shaosu, Gan Shaosu went according to the appointment, in the chat Liang Zongdai learned that Gan Shaosu's family was poor, he was apprenticed in the drama class at the age of 12, he was forcibly occupied by an ugly student in the drama class at the age of 15, and at the age of 23, he was snatched and abused by Zhong Shuhui, a quartermaster in Yulin, Guangxi. After hearing this, Liang Zongdai's blood surged into his heart, and he gave Zhong Shuhui 30,000 pieces and asked him to divorce Gan Shaosu.
After returning home, Liang Zongdai was afraid that his wife would know that he could not tolerate Shen Ying, so he preemptively broke up with his wife Shen Ying and lived with Gan Shaosu.
After hearing this news, 35-year-old Shen Ying, with her two daughters and the only son of Liang Zongdai in her belly, ran away from home. By teaching and writing articles, he single-handedly raised his children. Shen Ying never said that she would not let her children see Liang Zongdai, but the children who grew up with their mothers were born intelligent, and they hated their father's betrayal of their mother and decided not to see Liang Zongdai.
In his later years, Liang Zongdai lay on a hospital bed, remorseful, and wrote to Shen Ying many times, wanting to see his wife and children, but in the end, Shen Ying still did not go to see him.
Recalling Liang Zongdai's life is difficult to judge emotionally, but in other respects, he is undoubtedly extremely talented. Not only proficient in medicine and pharmaceuticals, with their own research and development of drugs to save themselves, but also proficient in fighting skills, more than a hundred times in their lives, opponents have hooligans and close friends and old professors of Peking University, but also more Chinese, as a professor of English and French, the translation of "Shakespeare Sonnets" was praised as "the best translation" by the people at the time.

After returning to China, Liang Zongdai gave lectures in Beijing, Tianjin, Sichuan and Chongqing, which was sought after by people and led a momentary cultural upsurge. His representative works include "Liang Zongdai Anthology", "Liang Zongdai Prose Essays", "Liang Zongdai Criticism Anthology" and "Poetry and True Continuation". Among them, after breaking up with Shen Ying and being with Gan Shaosu, the famous love song collection "Reed Flute Wind" created by him was rated as the true feeling of the collision of hearts.
Liang Zongdai's life was full of blood, infatuation, and affection, and in the 1940s, he even rejected the temptation of "legislators" and "lieutenant general ranks" of "President Jiang", which can be described as complex and legendary. Professor Wen Yuanning commented on him: "His debate is simply practicing martial arts, hands, legs, head, eyes, and body together... I have never seen a person like Liang Zongdai in my whole life, so vigorous and full of vitality." Liang Zongdai's students commented on him: "True temperament."
It is also the color, sound, fragrance, taste, and feeling of passion for Liang Zongdai, so his life is always living dashingly and freely. It is precisely because he is too selfish that he has a period of emotional experience that people do not know how to evaluate. It may be "true affection" and "true temperament" for him, but for He Ruiqiong, Anna, Shen Ying and others, it is a kind of harm.
