For some reasons, generally after pregnancy, when going to the hospital for obstetric examination, the doctor will not tell the parents-to-be the gender of the baby.
Due to strong curiosity, the anecdotes have summarized the distinction between boys and girls with various "experiences", the most common of which are the following two:
Statement 1:
"Pregnant boy with a tip of the belly, pregnant with a girl with a round belly"
Statement 2:
"Sour Girl"...
So who is more accurate about these two statements?

Obviously, the sex of the fetus from the shape of the stomach is unscientific.
The shape of the pregnant mother's belly is largely related to the size of the fetus, fetal position, pregnant mother's body shape and other reasons:
1. The size of the fetus
It is true that the weight of male babies is generally heavier than that of female babies, but the difference in the shape of pregnant mothers' bellies due to different sizes is not obvious.
2. Fetal position
In the womb, if the fetus has its back to the mother, the stomach appears pointed; the fetus faces the mother, and the stomach appears round.
3. Pregnant mother body shape
If the pregnant mother is thin and small, as the fetus grows up, the space for lateral development of the belly is limited, and it can only be pushed forward, then the stomach will appear more pointed.
On the contrary, pregnant mothers with fat bodies are more rounded in their pregnant stomachs.

In addition, pregnant mothers love to eat acid and do not want to give birth to boys.
There is no medical basis for the saying that pregnant women love to eat acid, because after pregnancy, the placenta will secrete a substance called HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin).
It inhibits the secretion of gastric enzymes, and pregnant women often have symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite due to a significant decrease in gastric acid secretion.
These symptoms can be improved by eating acidic foods, so pregnant women will become fond of acid.
In addition, the taste of pregnant women is also related to the eating habits of regions and families. However, there were no significant differences in the sex ratio of newborns across regions.
The sex of the fetus is determined by sex chromosomes, and there is no scientific basis for judging the sex of the fetus only by the change in the taste of the pregnant woman.
Everyone knows that the sex of a baby is determined by men.
The chromosome is XX for women and XY for men. When an egg is combined with a male X-type sperm, it develops into a girl, and when the egg binds to a Y-type sperm, it develops into a boy.[1]
Therefore, the male who carries the Y chromosome is the key to determining the sex of the baby.
The real difference between men and women is actually doomed at the moment when the egg and sperm are combined.
Do not trust the various methods of transcarriage on the market, such as the use of translect pills and "picking up male treasures", so as not to cause an irreparable situation.
Since the semen ejaculated by men contains a large number of sperm, which contains both X-type and Y sperm.
There is still no answer to the conditions under which these "horse-like" sperm are more likely to combine with the egg.
For modern medicine, it is not difficult to determine the sex of the baby.
1. Ultrasound imaging technology (B ultrasound)
This technique is relatively safe, it has no adverse effects on the fetus, and it is very commonly used in obstetrics and gynecology.
In diagnosing fetal sex, the accuracy of male infants is more than 95% and that of female infants is about 85% [2].
However, this technique requires a higher degree of fetal development, with a gestation of more than 4 months and the basic formation of the genitals.
2. Amniocentesis
It is mainly used to diagnose whether the fetus has chromosomal or neural tube defects, usually at 16 to 20 weeks of pregnancy.
There are certain risks that must be done by a professional doctor. The medical community is not in favor of doing amniocentesis just to measure the sex of the fetus [2].
3. Villous hair retrieval
Also known as "villous sampling", it is usually done at 8 to 10 weeks of pregnancy.
The main purpose, like amniocentesis, is to diagnose whether the fetus's chromosomes are normal, and the sex measurement method is mainly to diagnose some sex-related genetic diseases.
It should be emphasized here that the purpose of these methods is not to cater to people's wishes to have boys and girls.
Instead, such medical means are used to detect a variety of pathogenic genes such as hemophilia, pseudo-hypertrophic large progressive muscular dystrophy and other disease-causing genes, thereby reducing the birth probability of babies with genetic diseases.
In order to prevent parents from miscarrying and inducing labor because the baby's gender does not meet their wishes, there are no special circumstances, and doctors are not allowed to disclose the baby's gender to the parents-to-be.
Finally, we remind everyone that we can't choose the gender of the baby, and we don't have to choose, whether it is a blessing to give birth to a boy or a girl, it is best to let the baby be born with love.
