Do you know Wen Zhengming?
Together with Zhu Yunming, Tang Yin, and Xu Zhenqing, he was called the "Four Talents of Wuzhong", that is, the "Four Talents" of the great names in folklore; together with Shen Zhou, Tang Yin, and Qiu Ying, he was also known as the "Four Families of Ming"; he was also the lord of the style and elegance in the Jiangnan region in the middle of the Ming Dynasty, and his poems, texts, books, and paintings were all exquisite, known as the "Four Absolutes".
At the beginning of the 2022 New Year, Pudong Library and Suzhou Library cooperated for the first time to launch the "Fengya General Holding - Wenzhengming Documenta Exhibition", which was unveiled in the 1st floor hall as a special exhibition of Putu New Year. Relying on the rich collection of ancient books in Suzhou Library, the exhibition exhibits a variety of precious documents and reproductions related to Wen Zhengming since the Ming and Qing dynasties, such as engravings and extensions.
Wen Zhengming (1470-1559), the initial name of the wall, the character Zhengming, to the character line, more character Zhengzhong, alias Hengshan. A native of Ming Changzhou (present-day Suzhou, Jiangsu). In 2020, Suzhou Library held the "General Holding of Fengya - Documentary Exhibition commemorating the 550th Anniversary of Wen Zhengming's birth", which was widely praised by all walks of life. As a continuation, Putu's exhibition divides the exhibition into three parts: "Yanmen Family - Wen Zhengming's Family Lineage and Achievements", "Wu Diya Tour - Wen Zhengming's Friendship Tour", and "Stopping Cloud Model - Wen Zhengming's Influence", comprehensively displaying Wen Zhengming's life and contributions, as well as Wen Zhengming's "circle of friends".
According to the relevant person in charge of Putu, in September last year, the "Yangtze River Delta Reading Leading Area Integrated Development Synergy" composed of 12 units such as Putu, Sutu, Jinling Library, Hangzhou Library, Ningbo Library and Nantong Municipal Library was officially established. Under the framework of synergy, this exhibition has become a major achievement in promoting the high-quality development of public libraries in the Yangtze River Delta region and improving the reading level and quality of the whole people in the Yangtze River Delta region.
The exhibition will run until January 17.
