LG Electronics' goal is to explore the application of quantum technology in industry, including big data, artificial intelligence, Internet cars, digital transformation, robotics, the Internet of Things, etc., quantum computers can facilitate the above applications to process large amounts of data. LG says it can use IBM's roadmap for quantum technologies to be applied to software or hardware. In addition, LG will train its employees to understand quantum computers, quantum networks.

IT House learned that JAY Gambetta, an IBM researcher and vice president of quantum computing at IBM, said he was delighted that LG could join the quantum ecosystem. The partnership between IBM and LG Electronics will enable them to explore new technologies, solve entirely new problems, and help improve South Korea's quantum technology capabilities.
