Don't let the eyebrows be shaved! The female doctor joined the Red Army at the age of 57, and her son-in-law turned out to be the premier of new China

Women can hold up half the sky, which is a proverb that we are familiar with. Today's women's status must be high, and their contributions must be great. Female outstanding figures in different fields continue to emerge, such as Tu Youyou, Zhang Guimei, etc. In addition to their own efforts, times and opportunities are also involved, and women now have more opportunities than in the old days. However, what we are talking about today is an outstanding woman from the old era, and it is precisely because she was born in the dark old era that she looks more dazzling and more precious.

One. Born in the late Qing Dynasty

Yang Zhende, a native of Changsha, Hunan Province, was born in 1876 and studied medicine from an early age, and when he grew up, he became an outstanding doctor. After the outbreak of the Sino-French War, she resolutely joined the army for the sake of national righteousness and became a female military doctor. It was in this way that she ushered in her love. In the barracks, she saw such a sick man: a young man with a strong face and thick eyebrows and big eyes.

He is Deng Tingzhong, the town of Nanning, Guangxi, and with the same patriotic belief, the two quickly sparked a spark of love. Relying on his superb martial arts and outstanding strategy, Deng Tingzhong soon made great contributions in the Sino-French War, was promoted to a staff general, and after the eight-nation alliance invaded China, he was promoted to the commander-in-chief of Nanning and returned to his hometown. However, the good times did not last long, and he was soon sent to Xinjiang, separated from his wife, and then died in Xinjiang.

After the death of his beloved, Yang Zhende did not lose his life, but took his and her daughters all the way up and down, and raised two daughters alone with painstaking efforts. At this time, her daughter Deng Wenshu was already a young man, studying at the First Girls' Normal School in Tianjin Beiyang, and was influenced by the changes in the situation and revolutionary propaganda at that time, participating in the May Fourth Movement and other student movements, and Yang Zhende also fully supported his daughter's approach. Although Yang Zhende was born in the Qing Dynasty, she also deeply realized the cruelty and horror of the old era and the urgent need to change China. Compared with the times at that time, she could not help but be enlightened, and it was precisely because of her enlightenment that Deng Yingchao was able to confidently devote herself to the revolutionary cause and met her love here: Zhou Enlai.

I have to say that the love process of this mother and daughter is so similar, the difference is that Deng Yingchao's love has a good ending.

Two. Participate in the revolution

Under the influence of his daughter, Yang Zhende soon participated in revolutionary activities, and under the cover of his identity as a doctor, Yang Zhende played a lot of cover for the underground activities of the two people, and also participated in many actions, which is an early underground party. Soon after, under the change of the situation, Yang Zhende dragged his 57-year-old body, abandoned his family business, and rushed to the revolution, and became a female military doctor again after arriving in the Soviet District. It can be seen that in the face of ideals, age is never a problem.

But the road to revolution was not always smooth, and two years later, she faced a major threat of life and death. In 1935, Yang Zhende was accidentally arrested by the Kuomintang authorities while working underground, and when Chiang Kai-shek learned of her relationship with Zhou Enlai, he felt that he had caught a big fish, and quickly forced Yang Zhende to persuade Zhou Enlai to surrender and exert influence on him. However, under the threat of death, Yang Zhende was still indomitable, but instead sneered at each other that Chiang Kai-shek could not control his son, so how could she manage his son-in-law? The words are full of irony. It turned out that Chiang Kai-shek's own son was a Communist Party member and was incompatible with Chiang Kai-shek.

Chiang Kai-shek was ashamed and angry, but instead of killing her, he just imprisoned her.

It was not until the Kuomintang reached a united front that she was rescued and freed.

Three. Bow down to the best of your ability, and the healer is kind

After being imprisoned, her health was not as good as before, and her daughter and son-in-law Zhou Enlai wanted her to enjoy her old age in peace and live in seclusion, but she did not agree. Instead, she followed the team, still treating wounded soldiers, performing her duties as a doctor, even including the wounded soldiers who fled from the Kuomintang. In 1938, Nanjing fell, and she followed the team all the way through Changsha, Guilin, and Guiyang, and arrived in Chongqing after all kinds of hardships. After arriving in Chongqing, her body could no longer support herself and she fell seriously ill.

Finally, in November 1940, Yang Zhende died of illness in Chongqing at the age of 64, and her seven-year career in the Red Army came to an end.

Ms. Yang Zhende is not only a great female representative, a good mother, a good doctor, but also an outstanding revolutionary. She spanned the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, but died in the first decade of the founding of New China. Although she did not see the light with her own eyes, she was undoubtedly a star in the Dark Ages, bringing a glimmer of light to her time and the dawn of a new era. If she knew about our lives today, she would feel very relieved.
