Abstract: Recently, the B station UP master exposed a chip photo printed with the HiSilicon Logo, and said that this is the latest "Huawei HiSilicon Tianguang 800 chip". As for the more detailed information, it was not revealed. It is reported that this is a mature GPU chip, mainly used for AI training, and is expected to be officially released this year.
As we all know, because of the continuous increase in sanctions imposed by the United States, Huawei has encountered difficulties in chip manufacturing, but Huawei still has not given up chip research and development, and with the gradual realization of domestic de-beautification of mature process production lines, the manufacture of some of Huawei's mature process chips is expected to recover. With the development of domestic and non-US advanced process semiconductor equipment and materials, the follow-up process of 7nm and above is also expected to break through.
Recently, the B station UP master exposed a chip photo printed with the HiSilicon Logo, and said that this is the latest "Huawei HiSilicon Tianguang 800 chip". As for the more detailed information, it was not revealed. It is reported that this is a mature GPU chip, mainly used for AI training, and is expected to be officially released this year.

Although the current leading GPU has entered the 7nm process, if the Skylight 800 or 28nm process, it does seem to be relatively backward, and the power consumption will be relatively high. However, if it is only to look at the domestic GPU process level, 28nm is not too backward. At present, Jingjiawei's upcoming JM9 series GPU is also based on the 28nm process, and the "Fenghua No. 1" released by Xindong Technology for the cloud is also based on the 12nm process (16/14nm optimized version).
