This month, at cess in Las Vegas, Nevada, General Motors debuted two all-electric SUV ---- the 2024 Chevrolet Explorer EV & Trailblazer EV.
The unveiling of the two EVs, kicked off by GM CEO Mary Barra, shows GM's confidence in both models. As Chevrolet's second-best-selling brand, Equinox, as the predecessor of EquinoxEV, has always occupied a significant proportion of Chevrolet's user market. In this way, General Motors has high hopes for future market feedback on the 2024 Equinox EV and Blazer EV.
At the CES booth, the most eye-catching thing for the audience and fans was the technological magic shape of the Explorer EV & Trailblazer EV.
The narrow front headlights, with the angular shape line of the front cover, have the cold-blooded temperament of the Star Wars Samurai Order. The side circumference and two-door shape trend are extended to the threshold, which is more resolute. The through-the rear taillights and the cold rear wing visually raise the attitude of the whole vehicle. Objectively speaking, the shape of these two cars is full of scientific and technological sense, but it is not too exaggerated, which not only satisfies the current EV market riders' pursuit of modeling, but also adds optical beauty.
At the technical level, GM's selling point for both models is the mature Ultium EV platform architecture. The platform architecture is a floor-standing battery pack and electric drivetrain, and uses a scalable skateboard platform.
Models equipped with the Ultium platform architecture also include cadillac Lyriq, Hummer EV and upcoming Silverado EV, and the official announcement that the range of the platform will exceed 480 kilometers, which is indeed worth the expectations of the majority of fans.
At present, General Motors is very confident in expanding its EV product lineup and expanding its technology and market expansion. At the same time, GM locked in on-the-sideline users of Chevrolet cars in advance by revealing the starting price of the Equinox EV of less than $30,000, indicating that GM's competition for a full range of EVs has begun.
