Song Xilian: He is as close as a brother to Chen Geng, but he stands on the opposite side and kills Qu Qiubai into a lifelong regret

In late April 1935, under the secret designation of the traitor Zheng Dapeng, Wu Songtao, chief of the Military Justice Department of the 36th Division of the Nationalist Army, finally determined that the doctor "Lin Qixiang" who had been arrested two months earlier was Qu Qiubai, the propaganda director of the Central Bureau of the Red Army who remained in Ruijin.

Song Xilian, who could get the news, could not be pleased for two reasons: first, he was also a Communist Party member, and second, Qu Qiubai was a revolutionary whom he respected very much.

After listening to Wu Songtao's report, Song Xilian immediately ordered that Qu Qiubai should not be interrogated again, and that he should "give preferential treatment and set up another room." Of course, this was not something that Song Xilian wanted to open up, and as Chiang Kai-shek's "Eagle Dog General," he hoped to subdue Qu Qiubai by softening the method.

Song Xilian, a native of Xiangxiang, Hunan, and Chen Geng, the founding general of new China, are fellow countrymen, and their feelings are also extremely deep.

As a child, Song Xilian, a wealthy family, attended a private school for 1 year, primary school for 5 years, and under the guidance of his father, he studied ancient Chinese, and in 1921, the 14-year-old Song Xilian was admitted to Changjun Middle School and accepted revolutionary ideas here.

In the summer of 1923, Song Xilian returned to his hometown from school, and happened to meet Chen Geng who was studying at Yuexiang Middle School, and the two of them had a very happy conversation at first sight, at this time Song Xilian did not know that Chen Geng, who was 4 years older than himself, was already a Communist Party member.

In 1923, Sun Yat-sen returned to Guangzhou for the third time to protect the Fa, and with the help of Cheng Qian, he pacified Guangzhou, and in this year, Cheng Qian founded the Army Martial Arts School in Guangzhou.

Hearing this news, Chen Geng and Song Xilian accompanied each other and applied for this school, the two were admitted at the same time, and in May of the second year, the two ran to apply for the first phase of the Whampoa Military Academy and were admitted again.

At the Whampoa Military Academy, Song Xilian first joined the Kuomintang, and later became a secret member of our party under the introduction of Chen Geng.

Unfortunately, Song Xilian did not have the firm belief of Chen Geng, and in 1926, the Zhongshan Ship Incident broke out, and under the leadership of Zhou Gong, Chen Geng and others fought against the reactionary headmaster Chiang Kai-shek and others; and Song Xilian, because he was wounded in the Battle of Tonglu, had been retiring from his post and leaving the organization.

In 1927, he was sent to study at the Chiba Army School in Japan, and did not return to China until 1930.

After returning to China, Song Xilian participated in the Battle of the Central Plains and was promoted to the commander of the 2nd Regiment of the First Division of the Nationalist Government Guard Army with military merit; in 1932, when the "128 Incident" broke out, Song Xilian, who was then the commander of the 161st Brigade of the 87th Division, was ordered to reinforce Songhu, personally leading 4 battalions to forcibly cross the Yunzaobang and inflict heavy losses on the enemy.

However, in September of that year, Song Xilian served as the commander of the 36th Division, garrisoned Jiangxi, and began to encircle and suppress the Red Army.

Soon, the time came to 1933, at this time, Song Xilian and Chen Geng had lost contact for 7 years, and the two belonged to different camps, but Song Xilian's love for Chen Geng had not changed in the slightest.

In March of that year, Chen Geng, who was doing hidden work in the Shanghai Central Special Branch, was unfortunately arrested, and as early as 1925, when the students of the Whampoa Military Academy were on the Eastern Crusade, Chen Geng saved the life of old Jiang, so old Jiang attached great importance to Chen Geng and personally came to persuade him to surrender.

As soon as they met, they played an emotional card on Chen Geng: "Chen Geng, you are much thinner!" ”。

Chen Geng smiled and responded, "Thin and fat, this is what the principal taught us, I see that the principal is also much thinner... You are thinner, the world is thinner, why is this? ”。

In a word, Chiang Kai-shek was furious, but he still suppressed his anger and persuaded Chen Geng to write a statement admitting his mistake and threatening to give Chen Geng a good way out as long as he confessed his mistake.

Although Chen Geng had the grace to save old Jiang's life, the news of his arrest still worried Huang Wei, Hu Zongnan, Song Xilian and other old classmates, and soon they took great risks and jointly signed a letter requesting Chen Geng's release.

Chiang Kai-shek, on the other hand, also hoped that through Chen Geng and other Huangpu classmates, he could persuade Chen Geng to surrender, so he changed the imprisonment to house arrest.

Song Xilian, who saw Chen Geng again, was very happy and joked with Chen Geng: "You don't run, I can't eat the crime when I run." ”。

However, Chen Geng, who was placed under house arrest, eventually ran away, among which there was the credit of the underground organization, but Song Xilian, these old classmates, were also indispensable.

In May 1934, Song Xilian participated in the fifth encirclement and suppression of the Red Army, and eventually the Red Army was forced to march, and Qu Qiubai at that time was suffering from lung disease, stayed, and waited until February 1935, Qu Qiubai's lung disease became more serious, and he had no choice but to go to Shanghai for medical treatment, which was captured in Changting County.

After learning of Qu Qiubai's true identity, Song Xilian gave Qu Qiubai preferential treatment to Him on the one hand, and on the other hand, he called Chiang Kai-shek, who thought that Chiang Kai-shek would order Qu Qiubai to be sent to Nanjing for interrogation, but he did not expect Chiang Kai-shek to hand over the matter to him.

During Qu Qiubai's house arrest, Song Xilian talked to him several times and sent doctors to see him, but Qu Qiubai was a staunch communist, in fact, Song Xilian was able to persuade him to surrender.

After being arrested, Qu Qiubai knew in his heart that he had run out of time, and taking advantage of Song Xilian's preferential treatment, Qu Qiubai began to bury his head in the book and write the book "Superfluous Words".

Song Xilian: He is as close as a brother to Chen Geng, but he stands on the opposite side and kills Qu Qiubai into a lifelong regret

Qu Qiubai, a native of Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, he was the first child in the family, his ancestors were yixing Wang, his father was indifferent by nature, he did not rule the family business, and his life became poorer and poorer, and at the age of 12, Qu Qiubai's family moved into the Qu ancestral hall to live, suffering from the white eyes of the clan.

By 1914, Qu Qiubai's family could only rely on debt to survive, all of which made his mother miserable, and she cried: "I have to pay off these debts at the age of 70!" ”。

In 1916, her mother, Jin Xuan, could not bear the hardships of life, peeled off the matchhead, and swallowed it with tiger bone wine, only 41 years old.

After his mother's death, 17-year-old Qu Qiubai went to Beijing alone to study, and at that time, he only hoped to be admitted to Peking University, study Chinese literature, and spend his life as a teacher.

However, due to poverty, Qu Qiubai finally chose a Foreign Ministry that did not require tuition fees, but also had a "birth" to set up a Russian language special training, here, Qu Qiubai came into contact with Russian literature, learned about the October Revolution, and went to Moscow to study, and from then on embarked on the revolutionary road.

After returning to China, Qu Qiubai translated Stalin's "On the Basis of Leninism" and participated in the editing of advanced publications such as "New Youth", "Guide", and "Forward".

In August 1927, after the Nanchang Uprising, Qu Qiubai succeeded Chen Duxiu and became the second supreme leader.

In May 1928, Qu Qiubai went to Moscow again, but fell into a struggle with Zhang Guotao, and in 1930, Qu Qiubai returned to China and was dismissed from his post because of the "Li San Line"...

In February 1934, Qu Qiubai arrived in Ruijin, the holy land of revolution, but unfortunately, not long after, the Red Army Marched, Qu Qiubai asked to follow the troops to leave, but was left behind...

Song Xilian: He is as close as a brother to Chen Geng, but he stands on the opposite side and kills Qu Qiubai into a lifelong regret

It was not an easy task to "soften" a determined revolutionary like Qu Qiubai, but Chiang Kai-shek did not give Song Xilian much time, and in June 1935, only 2 months after confirming Qu Qiubai's identity, Song Xilian received a secret order from Chiang Kai-shek to "be shot on the spot and photographed."

After receiving the order, Song Xilian saw Qu Qiubai again and asked Qu Qiubai if he had anything else to do.

Qu Qiubai also said his last wish, that is, he hoped to send what he had written during his time in prison to a friend in Wuhan, and Song Xilian agreed.

On the morning of June 18, 1935, Qu Qiubai bravely became righteous at the age of 36.

Before Qu Qiubai was escorted away, Song Xilian did not appear, but he picked up the curtains in the office and secretly looked at Qu Qiubai.

The two-month contact also made Song Xilian feel admiration for Qu Qiubai, and ordered the killing of Qu Qiubai, which became song Xilian's "biggest regret in his life." ”。

Soon, the time came to 1936, this year, the Xi'an Incident broke out, Song Xilian led the army into Shaanxi, here, met Zhou Gong and Chen Geng, the two talked very happily.

In 1937, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression broke out in full swing, Song Xilian successively participated in the Battle of Songhu and the defense of Nanjing, and in 1938, he confronted the Japanese army in the Dabie Mountain Range, and led three divisions to severely damage the Japanese army, which was praised by the Supreme Command of the National Revolutionary Army.

In 1944, Song Xilian entered the Army University to study, and first withdrew from the anti-Japanese battlefield.

After the outbreak of the Liberation War, as Chiang Kai-shek's "Eagle Dog General", Song Xilian inevitably threw himself into the war.

In August 1948, Song Xilian was appointed deputy commander-in-chief of the "Suppression of the Communists" in central China, and was personally received by Chiang Kai-shek, and in October of the same year, Song Xilian was appointed deputy commander-in-chief of the "Suppression of the Communists" in Xuzhou, but Song Xilian resigned.

In February 1949, Song Xilian was again appointed commander of the Xiang'e Border Region Appeasement Headquarters and commander of the 14th Corps, but unfortunately, at this time, the Nationalist army was no longer able to resist, Song Xilian first lost Jingmen, and then suffered a crushing defeat in eastern Sichuan, and was besieged on December 19 at Shaping on the Dadu River.

After the defeat, Song Xilian wanted to draw a gun and commit suicide, but was stopped by the guard platoon leader and became a prisoner of the People's Liberation Army.

Knowing that the good brothers had been captured, Chen Geng deliberately ran from Yunnan to Chongqing to meet with Song Xilian and told him to study more and prepare to contribute to the motherland and the people.

In 1959, after 10 years of reform, Song Xilian got out of prison and regained a new life, and the "eldest brother" Chen Geng met with Song Xilian again and encouraged him to live well.

In 1961, the 54-year-old Song Xilian married again, married the famous lady Xiu Yi Yinxian, and it was also this year that Chen Geng died, and at the memorial service of Chen Geng, Song Xilian lost his voice and cried bitterly.
