It seems that after the end of the defense of Nanjing, Wang Jingjiu, commander of the 71st Army, dragged his troops to Luoyang for training and was under the control of the local garrison commander. Chiang Kai-shek first gave a crown and then told Song Xilian that the Japanese army had smuggled across the Yellow River and was advancing alone, and that Blood was organizing troops to surround and annihilate it, and told Song Xilian to go to Lanfeng to garrison immediately.

Gui Yongqing's 27th Army, the main force under the jurisdiction of the 46th Division, was formerly known as the Teaching Corps of the Bloody Battle of Nanjing. So on May 23, just after exchanging fire with the Japanese army, they directly retreated, and Lanfeng was lost.

The 14th Division immediately asked for help, and the Japanese 16th Division also rushed to help.

In the Lanfeng area, 12 divisions have been assembled, can't we stop a 14th division regiment? Moreover, Xue Yue's troops were all hard stubble, and most of them participated in the Battle of Songhu and the Defense of Nanjing.

On May 29, the Eighth Army led by Wang Jie, faced with the Offensive of the Japanese Army, even abandoned Guizhou.
