【Original】

Zeng San, a native of Nanwucheng (Note 1), was a young Confucius forty-six years old. Zhicun (Note 2) filial piety, so Confucius wrote the "Filial Piety Classic". Qi tried to hire (Note 3), wanting to be with (Note 4) and not to be a secretary, saying: "My parents are old, and if they eat people, they are worried about people's affairs, so I cannot bear distant relatives (Note 5) and serve as a man." ”

The mother is ungraceful, but the offering is not weak (Note 6). and his wife were not ripe for quinoa (Note 7), because they were out of (Note 8). It is said: "Non-seven out (Note 9) also." See (Note 10) as follows: "Quinoa, small ear." I want to be ripe, but not my life, what is the matter? "He shall not take his wife for life." His son Yuan asked him to tell his son: "Emperor Gaozong's wife killed Filial Piety (Note 12), and Yin Jifu's wife released Boqi (Note 13). I am inferior to Emperor Gaozong, and I am not as good as Jifu, and I know that he can be spared? ”

Zengsan's stepmother had no kindness to him, but Zengsan still provided for her and did not slacken off at all. Later, Zeng San's wife did not steam the quinoa leaves, and Zeng San's wife divorced her. Someone else said, "Your wife should not be forsaken, not within the scope of the seven outs." Zeng San said: "Steaming quinoa for food, this is a small thing." I let her steam, but she didn't listen to me, let alone the big thing! Finally, he abandoned his wife and never married him again. Zeng San's son Zeng Yuan asked him to marry, and he said to his son: "Emperor Gaozong killed Xiao ji because of his wife, and Yin Jifu exiled Birch because of his wife." I am not as capable as Emperor Gaozong, nor as capable as JiFu, so how can I know that if I marry a wife, I can avoid doing wrong things? ”
