By the time of the Song Dynasty, the History of the Song Records that dragons appeared as many as nine times from the fifth year of Qiande to the fifth year of the main road. When Liao Taizu saw that the dragon was dead, he was happy and broke down, and said 10 words: "This karma dragon is also inferior to the true dragon of the Fallen!" So he ordered the man to take the dead dragon back and hide it in the treasury in the inner courtyard of the palace.
The anecdote of Liao Taizu shooting the dragon was recorded by the little eunuch beside him: the dragon had a horn, a tail long and short feet, a body length of five feet, and a tongue of two and a half inches long.
Originally, the dragon shot by Liao Taizu was only five feet long, and according to the Identification Standards of Chinese Pastoral Dragons, it could only be regarded as a juvenile dragon. Why? Because the dragon had only one horn, it was not yet 100 years old. No wonder he was shot in a puddle.

During the Daoguang years, there was even a dragon that almost burped because it ran aground. If it weren't for the local people's starry night to save it, ya would definitely become a lump of specimens. How did the locals save it?
First he was given a pergola to protect him from the sun; then he was constantly watered on it to prevent his skin from drying out and dying. After three consecutive days, the dragon returned to the light and rode away in the wind on a night of thunderstorms.
From this incident, the people finally understood a truth: the dragon cannot do without water.
Coincidentally, in 1934, on a stormy night, there was a sudden loud noise on the outskirts of Yingkou, and a huge dragon fell from the sky. After smashing several boats and killing and injuring several people, the dragon finally fell into the reeds not far from the mouth of the Liao River.
The next morning, the locals followed the sound to see the liveliness. They saw an animal with horns on its head and scaly bodies, struggling painfully on the ground, with the occasional cow-like sound in its mouth. After struggling for a while, the guy died in agony.
People were surprised to find that the dragon had fallen once a month ago, and people had also saved it by building a pergola and pouring cold water. This time it was not so good luck, just fell down, did not struggle a few times before dying.
Later, the dragon was made into specimens and kept in a school. Due to the war, the whereabouts of the dragon's specimens are also unknown.
So, the question is, is there really a dragon in Chinese history? Why do so many historical documents record dragons?
An archaeological discovery in 1987 revealed this age-old secret. At that time, when the engineering team was doing the project of adjusting the pool, an ancient tomb was found on the west slope of the southwest corner of Puyang, Henan, and the archaeologists heard about it and immediately came, and the experts tested the ancient tomb and determined that the ancient tomb was about 6,000 years old, which belonged to the Yangshao culture period.

This is the earliest "dragon" excavated so far, so it has been identified by archaeologists as "the first dragon in China".
