In fact, there are many records about dragons in all the dynasties and dynasties in history. For example, during the Spring and Autumn Period, Qin Wengong obtained the Black Dragon during a hunt. For example, in the middle of the Tang Dynasty, Xichuan Jiedu made Wei Gao catch a dragon that was more than a long time. But this time, what we want to talk about is a big person, in the record, he killed a real dragon, and this person is Liao Taizu Yelü Abaoji!
Friends who are familiar with history know that Yelü Abaoji was the founder of the Liao state. This person was born in the Khitan nobility, and was physically strong and excellent in martial arts from an early age. At that time, the Khitan tribes were a bit like before the founding of the Mongols, and they all existed in the form of various tribes. The ministries would elect capable and prestigious men to be khans and command the ministries. Because of his outstanding talent, Apaoji was elected khan. He followed the example of the Central Plains Dynasty as emperor and established the Liao state in 907 AD.
During the Northern Song Dynasty, the Liao state dominated almost the entire northern region, and its strength even suppressed the Song Dynasty for a time. You must know that at that time, the territory of the Northern Song Dynasty was only 2.8 million square kilometers, while the Liao State reached 4.89 million square kilometers! It is only because the history of our country is accustomed to taking the Han regime as orthodox, so we have the impression that the Liao state has become less conspicuous.
In May 920, a very strange thing happened in the territory of the Liao State. The record says: "Gengchen, there is a dragon seen in the water of the tugging mountain and the sun, and it is shot up and hidden in its bone. "It is said that the dragon was found in the river located in the northern part of Linxi County, Inner Mongolia, south of the Tula Mountains.
The records in the History of Liao are relatively brief, but later generations have detailed records that say that the dragon is black. After discovering the dragon, someone immediately reported the news to Apaoji. Apaoji immediately rushed straight to the scene of the incident. It took three days to get there, and the dragon was actually still there, it looked like it was more than ten meters long, three meters long, and about forty meters was almost forty meters, which was really a dragon! Apaoji shot the dragon and saved the keel.
The Emperor of the Liao Dynasty killed a dragon, which also aroused the interest of the Song Dynasty people at that time, after all, dragons are not common! At that time, Shen Kuo had sent an envoy to the Liao State as an emissary, and there were also records of this matter. According to Shen Kuo, the Liao people also built a dragon-shooting temple specifically for the place where the black dragon was shot, and the temple also stored dragon snakes, which were shaped like swords.
In 1125 AD, the Jin State destroyed the Liao, and then the Jin State went south to destroy the Northern Song Dynasty. The Southern Song Dynasty sent the minister Hong Hao as an emissary to the Jin State for peace talks, but Hong Hao was instead detained by the Jin State. However, during the Jin Dynasty, Hong Haoning's indomitable integrity was respected by the Jin people, so he neither killed him nor excessively restricted his freedom. This also gave Hong Hao the opportunity to record some of what he saw and heard in the Jin Kingdom, and Hong Hao's record wrote about the black dragon. According to his records, Yan Yuan, the son of Jin Guozhong's chancellor Yan Xiyin, also saw the keel with his own eyes.
According to Yan Yuan's description, Hong Hao recorded that "the tail hyena branches are complete, and the double horns have been cut off, similar to the water dragon painted by Dong Yu in Yu's collection, and the hyena on its stumbling feet is not fish hyena." This record is also what the keel that Yan Yuan saw at that time looked like. That is to say, the limbs of this dragon are basically preserved, but the dragon horns have been amputated. On the whole, it is very similar to the water dragon painted by the Song people. And until the end of the Jin Dynasty, the limbs of this black dragon still existed, and the record said that "Zhenyu Nandu is still there", but after that, his whereabouts are unknown. Now where the original keel is, it will always be a mystery.
If the record of Liao Taizu Yelü Abaoji shooting the black dragon is true, then the first thing we have to ask is whether this black dragon is really a dragon or some other animal? At least it is certain that this is by no means a common creature for ordinary people, otherwise it would not have been so alarming to Liao Taizu. But if this is really a dragon, almost forty meters long, it will be shot by Apaoji, and this dragon's ability feels a little too bad.
However, in any case, this historical record is somewhat similar to the "Yingkou Dragon Fall Incident" in modern times, and it is also recorded that some people saw the real dragon alive, and they also left a suspected keel. It's just that the incident in Yingkou has not yet had a clear answer, and it is still a suspense case, not to mention the events of a thousand years ago, when the keel can not be found, I am afraid it can only be listed as a mystery. We can imagine all kinds of possibilities, but they may not be convincing.
