This exhibition selects more than 120 works from more than 600 works originally produced by sculpture folk artist Mr. Yu Dejiao. The exhibition is free of charge to the general public from now until January 15.

The sculpture exhibits are divided into 5 themes: the endorsement of life, spirit and civilization, thought and truth, era and morality, and the soul of the nation. These works show the spiritual nourishment and inspiration drawn by Yu Dejiao from traditional Chinese culture, emphasize artistic creation to face life, vividly portray the relationship between people and the surrounding world, and the works have beautiful lines, natural and vivid, full of power.
Born in a kiln farmer's family in Deng County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, Yu Dejiao has been inspired by art education since he was a child playing with mud, and in 1999, yu Dejiao, who was only 20 years old, bid farewell to his hometown of Henan to work as a security guard in Guangzhou, a job that provided conditions for him to understand the city and people from all walks of life. From spring to autumn, Yu Dejiao gradually grew up in Guangzhou.
The reason why he can create many high-quality works is precisely because Yu Dejiao has a deep affection for the land under his feet. "Dealing with the soil every day, smelling the aroma of the soil, always feeling an indescribable sense of intimacy." Yu Dejiao said that because he wanted to use his works to inspire people's thinking about nature and society and summon the truth, goodness and beauty in people's hearts, he devoted himself to creation. "It's a sense of mission in my heart." Years of life thinking and social observation, so that Yu Dejiao gradually understood the mission he shouldered, he believes that sculpture to reveal the essence of life, guide people to yearn for the sun, find the value of life.

In June 2021, CCTV10 Science and Education Channel "Craftsman Ingenuity" specially reported on Yu Dejiao's sculpture art creation, and the theme of the program was "Dreamer" - Yu Dejiao.
The exhibition is guided by the Office of the Leading Group for the Study and Education of Party History of the Tianhe District Committee, and jointly organized by the Tianhe District Literary Association, the Tianhe District Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and the Guangzhou Xingde Sculpture Creation Co., Ltd.
