With the support of all parties, the "Army Officer School" stands on Huangpu Island in Guangzhou, which is also known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" that we are familiar with. ”
In China's military history, the Whampoa Military Academy has always been a legend. In 1955, the ten founding marshals who received the title, including Ye Jianying and Lin Biao, graduated from the Whampoa Military Academy. It is no exaggeration to say that each of them was enough to resist one division of the enemy, not to mention several generals and admirals.
At that time, the Whampoa Military Academy not only had China's best generals as teachers, but also the world's most advanced military theories and the most advanced foreign military technology. Obviously, such a faculty and configuration could not be compared with any university in China at that time.

In 1924, at the opening ceremony of the Whampoa Military Academy, Dr. Sun Yat-sen passionately said to the hundreds of students who were the first to enter the Whampoa Military Academy: "
The purpose of opening this school is to hope that all of you here will be able to shoulder the future of the Chinese revolution, and from today onwards, the history of the Chinese revolution will be created by you!

The education of the Whampoa Military Academy implemented the "Three People's Principles", and the teachers and students in the school took "democracy and republicanism" as their faith and recruited a wide range of cadets, and at that time, many young volunteers in China were also proud to enter the Whampoa Military Academy. Of course, as a training place for army officers, the Whampoa Military Academy also has its own unique requirements for recruiting students.
The first is the age of students, the main enrollment target is young students, generally under the age of 25 years of adult young students. The battlefield is fierce, and countless people have died. Although they are young, they are not afraid of life and death, and they have never flinched even if they are dangerous. There was once a Whampoa graduate who was injured in the struggle, but he did not care to say to his companions: "Bandage me quickly, I will continue to participate in the war!" "Such a spirit of seeing death as a homecoming is touching.
Third, the "Whampoa Spirit" will always shine
In October 1926, at the opening ceremony of the fourth phase of the Whampoa Military Academy, all Whampoa teachers and students read an oath, which mentioned the "Whampoa Spirit":
Unity of will, dear sincerity. Unity, responsibility, sacrifice.
In 1934, at the commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Army Officer School, Chiang Kai-shek said: "
All Whampoa Military Academy teachers and students should know clearly that when the Whampoa Military Academy was founded, we had only 500 people and only 500 guns.
